Brought my Michael Hill watch in to get the battery replaced before I went on vacation in the middle of September. After bringing my watch in I was told it would be done in a couple days. I then get a call later the same day I dropped off the watch, saying they can’t get the screws out and they have to send out the watch. So I told them I’ll just come get it and take it somewhere else since they can’t do it. They then tell me they already sent out my watch and I can’t get it back. Even though they never called me to confirm, I was ok with them sending out my watch in the first place. After the first three weeks of not hearing from them, I stopped in to see where my watch was. They said it was still in the mail and it would be here next week. This went on for 2 months!! So now after two months they have finally reached out to me to tell me it was in. The only good thing that came from this horrible experience was that they didn’t charge me the $25 quoted to replace my battery.

Unprofessional and reluctant to help. Prices are outrageous. I'm surprised they're still in business.

Over the past 5 years I have purchased several gifts for family. I always received great service. They are just nice people. Pricing is very fair because some pieces are one of a kind.

This shop is not only overpriced, but they’re either inept or liars, or both (story below). Not to mention, the jewelry looks incredibly gaudy as if bad movie props from a pirate’s treasure chest and the design of the shop is overwhelming to anyone who isn’t 9 years old and just watched “Princess Diaries.”

I brought my watch to them for resizing. They put a large link in and the fit was far too loose. I asked them to remove a half-link and they told me it's not designed to be removed despite removal arrows on back of link. We conversed back and forth on it for about 5 min before I believed them and paid them $20. I went home and removed the half-link by hand with a standard paperclip. It was clearly designed to be removed and now the watch fits perfectly. I went back and showed them and asked for my money back. They refused refund despite the utter failure of the job and lies that it wasn't designed to be removed. after 5min of arguing and telling them that they lied and failed at the job, they refunded. They originally attempted to belittle me by saying they have 90 years of experience. Pathetic. Crooks and liars are nothing new to the jewelry industry.

Do not go to this jeweler!!!!!! Do not go to this jeweler!!!! Sometime in February, I left a ring at Lord & Hunt to be sized. I was told the ring would have to be out-sourced and it would take a week. The sizing would cost $125. I thought that price was very high but this jeweler is very close to my house. After a few weeks, I checked in on Lord & Hunt to determine the status of the sizing. I was told it would take a few more days and that I would get a call. A week later I stopped by again and was told the ring was in the mail on its way to Lord & Hunt. Another week later, I was told the ring would arrive any day. A week after that I was told the ring had to be returned because the sizing was poorly done. A week later a received a call from the owner who said that the ring had to be sent to another jeweler for sizing and that no work had been done on the ring. I should have insisted on getting the ring back at the point but I was assured that I would get the ring back by the end of that week. Two weeks later in the beginning of April, I finally got the ring. I was charged the $125 with barely an apology. To add insult to injury, the shank which was very thin broke after wearing the ring once! I went back to Lord & Hunt, showed the ladies my broken ring and said that because it took so long to size the ring the first time, I wanted my money back. I was rudely told no way. They wanted me to leave my ring again to be repaired. I didn't get my money back. I am disputing the charge on my credit card. My ring in currently being repaired by another jeweler for $50. Again, the ladies who own this business ripped me off, lied to my face and damaged my ring. It's amazing that these ladies are still in business.
