I had a truly awful experience at the Homewood, Illinois branch of Huntington Bank. After dealing with fraud on my account, I came in for assistance, and the staff here completely failed to take my issue seriously. I’ve been dealing with identity theft since 2020, and my funds were stolen from my account. Despite clear documentation and confirmation from the Fraud Department at Huntington’s corporate headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, this branch was completely dismissive and disrespectful.
I was serious—and the manager’s response was nothing short of unprofessional. She made it clear that she wasn’t going to help, and she even made false assumptions about me, implying that I was somehow trying to use the stolen funds for personal gain. This is not just poor customer service, but also a clear violation of consumer protection laws.
Huntington Bank’s fraudulent activity left me in a tough financial situation, and instead of helping me, this branch just delayed and obstructed my case. I was treated with disrespect and dismissed as though my financial distress was unimportant. The Homewood branch staff has clearly failed to follow proper banking procedures, and if you are dealing with serious banking or fraud issues, I highly recommend avoiding this location.
I will be taking further action, and I encourage anyone in need of honest banking services to boycott this branch. Go to a branch that actually cares about customer service and follows legal procedures.
This review is intended to outline frustration, unprofessional behavior, and warn others about the lack of accountability at this branch.

The bank teller willimeana ( sorry if I misspelled it) is outstanding! Her customer service is amazing. She was sooo helpful and informative. I came In twice once on 2/5 and then 2/6 ( between the hours 12 and 1 )both times her service was top tier.

Came in early on a Monday to make a deposit. Customer service seemed to be okay for normal customers who use regular bank transactions.

The worst bank I have ever dealt with and that says a lot about how bad it is. Banks are not the greatest to deal with but this one has been by far the worst. The customer service is just awful and they make you feel like you should be thanking them for having the opportunity to bank with them.I have 3 commercial accounts with them and rarely use them other than online banking because of how bad the customer experience is. I now have a new commercial property in the area and this is my first time visiting them again in person and I remember why I hated going there. I'll be moving all of my commercial accounts.

The customer service here is truly awful. After patiently waiting to receive help, I finally receive it without being asked what it was I wanted to do with my account which they completely messed up! I hope they become better and receive proper training in customer service,

The branch manager lacks customer relationship can't solve problems. I gave one teller my money I suppose she gave it to another teller I don't know what happened to my money.

I was with tcf for 5 years and I can say that their customer service is way better. The security guard picks and chooses who to greet. There is only two people there and the lines are very long. They can barely understand your request and not the best customer service. Im giving it a one star. People closing their accounts frequently that says a lot about a bank in itself.

The absolute worst bank in America! The customer service is complete garbage, they're systems are completely outdated for a "new" bank, overall confusing system and not a good bank. Do yourself a favor open and account at Chase. They charge a fee but they're systems aren't outdated!

Terrible service, one hour to be attended to. The dirty place full of garbage, dust and dirt, the cashiers have a bad attitude and serve you slowly. They don't speak Spanish to you. I will not go to this location again.

I went in waited in long line. Only two tellers. No sign in for personal banking. The lady didn't understand me and didn't do what I needed. It is frustrating when the new bank didn't get more prepared for the problems that would occur
