I usually only shop this location for emergencies. I have done pick up and go twice and both times it was an absolute mess. They were out of items I ordered with no backup and I never got my money back . Contacted customer service and never got a response. So disappointed considering how expensive everything is these days

On February 19, 2024, I encountered extremely poor customer service at the Jewel-Osco in Homewood, IL, which significantly impacted my special needs son and me. After discovering the salmon I purchased earlier that day was spoiled, I returned to the store for a refund. While the deli manager did acknowledge the spoiled salmon after reviewing my receipt, his approach to customer service was deeply disappointing. He mentioned he was 24 and leaving the job in 2 weeks, and shockingly suggested that if I was dissatisfied with their spoiled meat, I should shop elsewhere. This incident was not isolated; I've experienced similar issues with spoiled products from this store before. The situation unnecessarily escalated, causing distress to my son who started stimming amidst the chaos. This experience highlights a recurring problem with food quality and a significant lack of empathy and professionalism in handling customer concerns at this location. Such treatment, especially towards customers with special needs, is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Jewel-Osco's commitment to customer service and quality standards. EDIT I was told to connect on-line however, the phone numbers do not work.

Jewel is an old neighborhood stand by. Have to watch the buy by dates in some stores. I purchased a can of cream of mushroom soup that had expired in 2014?Produce is good, fruits are okay, not the greatest. Prices are tolerable, do have sales.

DO NOT SHOP ?? HERE PERIOD I WITH IN HERE JUST TO GET LAST MINUTE ITEMS FOR THE HOLIDAY TODAY AND WITH TO USE THERE RESTROOM BEFORE I LEFT AND AN EMPLOYEE COME OUT NOT ONLY DID HE NOT WASH HIS HANDS BUT HE DID NOT FLUSH THE TOILET YOUR YOU SERIOUSLY THAT IS NOT ONLY DISRESPECTFUL AND DISGUSTING YOU ARE WORKING WITH FOOD DID YOUR MOTHER NOT SHOW YOU HOW TO WASH AND FLUSH AFTER USING THE RESTROOM THAT IS JUST ANOTHER VIRUS WAITING TO HAPPEN.

The chicken from the deli was very good ?11/22/23 the chicken to my surprise was stale, old and dry. Left overs were being served!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe I was just racially profiled at this store!! One of the employees by the name of Denise accused me of not scanning all of one particular item just to be proven wrong! She went through every bag and itemize the list on the screen to justify her, insisting that I did not scan everything. Usually, if there’s anything going on, when in self check out, the register will alert the cashier that was not the case. I scanned everything one at a time I left everything on the weight machine I did not at any time put any items back in the basket. There was literally no reason to stop me and hold me up the way that this employee did. I made the manager aware his name was Jim. He said he will talk to her and judging by one of the other employees that was standing there in the mist of the conversation, they mentioned her name and responded in a way that leaves me under the impression that this is not her first time harassing a customer for whatever reason. I am highly upset and something more needs to be done about this because obviously I am not the only person at this has happened to!
