Trying to support local business so I stopped by Ace to pickup a can of matte black spray paint and the paint tech told me no such thing only flat. I told him I was there because I saw the product on the Ace website he glanced at the shelves and said all flat no matte. I think he is in need of some more training. I left went to Depot and bought what I needed.

So I went to Ace to buy a new patio umbrella that was priced $59.99 in the store but $49.99 on the app. I then spoke with the store supervisor and he agreed to do a price match for me which I was pleased with. To my surprise, a young lady who was a clerk intervened and insisted I had to purchase it from the app and ensured me of how it only would take about 15 minutes for the process by just entering my credit card information into my phone. I told her that I’m standing in the store now and was told by the supervisor he was doing a price match and I wouldn’t have to use the app. She insisted in front of me that he was doing it all wrong. To the store supervisor, you obviously understood what good customer service is how it should be handled when a customer is present. To the young lady clerk, you should pay attention and learn from him that there’s a time and a place for confrontations such as you were having with your supervisor in front of the customer.

Could not match a simple wood screw. Wanted to sell me star/torx screws. Also told me to go to a locksmith to cut a key as they couldn’t do it. Place is slipping. Used to have knowledgeable employees. Thinking twice about going back.

Matt was Great!! I had plenty of questions to ask and Matt answered all of them like nothing great kid, Matt helped me find parts for a project that I was working on and he took me right there and we talked some more, Highly recommend Ace hardware in Huntley great employees!

The store hardware man made copies of 2 keys and 3 free cuts of 9 gauge wire we had brought in that helped us out very much. Very friendly and above and beyond service. Highly recommend place
