“Stopped in yesterday to buy some bacon.
So great to see this local, privately owned business opening its doors again.
Places like this is what gives small towns personality. You can taste the passion and pride in the product.”
“Great place for pick up . Just make sure you show up with clean trailer and precooled , if not , you can be turned around . Couple washout places around . Closest one in Elgin, IL if remember right.”
“Food is fresh, selection is great! Produce is great, not like Walmart where everything is second rate. This is a small town independent grocery store. They don't make money selling thousands of products at a low price, they cater to us, those who need things quickly, close to home, at affordable prices. Sometimes convenience costs a little, and these are locals and residents who work here. I have absolutely zero issues with shopping here. I support local, and I would never want this place to disappear. Those who complain should try jewel, it survives and charges more than here- and no one says anything?
SUPPORT LOCAL!”
“I happened to see the sign while driving and I’m so glad I stopped! I’ve been looking for a local farm with real, locally raised meat because knowing where my food comes from is very important to me.
Julie, the owner, was incredibly kind and took the time to show me around. They have a great selection of fresh chicken, beef, pork, turkey, steaks, and more. Everything looked fresh and high quality.
I bought a turkey breast and will definitely be back. I’m so happy I found this place and highly recommend it!”
