This organization (along with greedy hospital administrator) was right there waiting for me when my daughter was declared brain dead. Nervously pacing administration. I wonder how much profit they made from her organs. They can’t even give my daughter a bench or a tree in my town. :(Disgusting.

My son died this morning. I’m disabled and didn’t get to the hospital before the corner. He was then taken to gift of hope after the autopsy today. They talked with my ex husband gave him the details of what is going to happen and won’t let me his mom know anything. I’m going to be in touch with my lawyer!

I have only had a positive experience with them. They did the embalming with no cost to me which saved me money at funeral home. They did let me know that my husband's tissue were used and they were kind and caring. They did call me two times to update me.

One of my dearest friends lost his mother right before Thanksgiving. She was a donor for Gift of Hope, and all throughout the process they were promised that Gift of Hope would arrange her transportation to the crematorium by the end. Gift of Hope went back on their promise, making it very clear they do not care about their donors or their families. I am disgusted, and I demand that Gift of Hope upholds their promise.

A Gift of Hope Rep came up to my mom within minutes of my dad being declared brain dead, got defensive about his organ donation status, and insinuated she had believed “misinformation” for thinking the family would get chargedFive months later the insurance didn’t pay $20k because the invoice Gift of Hope sent was the day after he died and they send her to collections for the debt. Thanks for confirming all of our “conspiracy theories” about this racket, I will tell this to anyone who asks why I’m leaving organ donation registry next time I renew my license.

I feel that this is a great organization but from the 2 cases I’ve closely seen, once they found out my loved ones were organ donors they stopped trying to make any attempts to save their lives. They said “oh they are brain dead, now we can discuss organ donation”. I have decided to take the donor symbol off of my license and just tell my children my final wishes. Rest peacefully uncle Eric and my forever love, Landiz

They were nice, caring and compassionate. They kept me informed every step of the way when it came to my son's donation. I needed to know arrivals and departure of each destination from the time he left the hospital, until he arrived back at the funeral home. They even asked if there was anything I wanted them to say before the actual donation started. Darian was a recipient of multiple replacement heart valves. He was 25yrs old with 6 open heart surgeries under his belt. He was the true definition of a soldier. He would have been 26 yrs old on Valentine's day 2020. Twenty five years just wasn't long enough, but I guess I should be thankful I had him that long. Giving back to the gift of hope was only fitting. I will miss my sweet Valentines's baby for the rest of my life. I pray that i will see him again. I long for the day that we meet again my first love...
