“Great company. I bought the Mirak sectional with chaise and ottoman based off positive reviews that it was well built and durable. I would have to agree and I can see the couch holding up for many years. The ottoman had a loose staple on the bottom which was barely noticeable, but Dania sent someone out right away to fix it. Overall a great experience.”

This helped in selecting something that will work for us.The only negative, and it was major, was applying for in store credit. After multiple attempts I gave up on it, as the process was very time consuming and required you to step through multiple steps. Even the GM witnessed this issue. Synchrony’s banks process is broken.”

“Bought an umbrella for my pool deck last summer and am super happy with the quality. It's way different from what you would find in the big box stores. Also just picked up a Primo kamato grill which is the only one still made in the USA. I'm new to cooking with kamatos, but so far I'm impressed. This is a family owned business, they really go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Highly recommended!”

“Very nice high quality furniture and antiques. Great mix of styles. Far less than brand new. A lot it solid wood high end stuff. They start at Ikea level and go to designer. There's a lot more than I expected.Plan on bringing a truck!! Or a uhaul ? I saw a lot more that I wanted then I could fit in my truck!! It seems like that happens a lot here. People that are just window shopping even tend to find something they like ?(They do offer delivery too)”

“My fiancé and I were browsing furniture stores for the perfect couch for our family room in our new house. We searched the usual furniture stores but we couldn't find anything we quite liked until we stumbled upon Penny Mustard and decided to give them a try. We were greeted by Kim and it instantly felt like we were talking to a family member instead of an intimidating salesperson. Kim was very helpful and knowledgable into helping us find the perfect couch. So helpful, in fact, that my fiancé was also able to find a recliner for himself for the family room as well! Penny Mustard, I would say, is a place where "you get what you pay for." The couch quality was marvelous and so soft and it's clearly made to last. I was surprised at the amount of color/material options for each piece of furniture. Overall, very happy with the purchases and our home finally feels cozy!”

“Wallscapes did a great job of framing our print - it turned out beautifully.The initial print turned out to have a defect and I had to provide a second copy of the print, meaning the frame and mat had to be reworked. Frank was very accommodating, and charged us nothing for the rework.Needless to say, I am a VERY happy customer!!”

“I love love love LOVE this place, more than I can say! The ONLY reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because if we're looking for absolute perfection with 5 stars here, the only thing making it not perfect would be that some of the clearance items are marked with more than one sticker price, and cashiers don't always punch in the lower sticker price on the item. And this is one of the primary "loves" i have for this place as a crafter and hobbyist; the incredibly dirt cheap clearance prices on some of the coolest stuff they've ever had. Other than that, I've been guilty on several occasions, of spending hours on end here, losing track of time, and winding up here til nearly closing, because there's so much to peruse, and always so very much I want to take home. It always takes an incredible amount of restraint to not bring half the store's inventory home with me on every trip. If ever i got locked in there at the end of the day, they'd come back the next morning to 90% of their stuff having been used to make happy stuff to greet them at the door the next day, there's so much to keep me busy. You know how so many people say they don't know where to start? In this place, I wouldn't know where to stop!”

“Our custom made barn door now separates our bedroom from the bathroom and was something we wanted ever since we moved to our home. The door is solid works wonderfully in the space. The frosted glass and wood stain is perfect. Working with Chicago Barn Door was easy and provided us with exactly what we wanted.”

“This is one of the Ten Thousand Villages that has an annual handmade rug event, where you can come in and see the rugs. You might find handmade rugs someplace like The Dump in Lombard, however here you can be sure it's made by fairly-paid artisans and you don't need to wonder about child or slave labor. They often have interesting jewelry which is quite affordable; miscellaneous housewares; runners/napkins/placemats/aprons etc. and hand-knit hats/scarves/mittens. They even carry fair trade chocolate bars. It's a little bit like Pier 1 used to be but with fairly-paid artisans instead of mass merchandise. There's nothing here that you need, but there is probably something here that will make you smile. Staff is very pleasant and patient when you ask them to, say, show you every rug in a three-foot stack of carpets, and if you have something particular in mind, they'll help you find something similar.”

“I recently moved to the area and have stopped in a few times. What made me want to write a review is how great our last visit was. We stopped in for some cards and the manager or owner gave our toddler a big candy cane and talked to him about Santa. “I recently stopped in to look at lighting and found a wonderful display of ceiling fans and track lighting along with other lighting. . I had looked at a few other lighting stores and found Northwest had the best selection. Because of the selection and service I received, I purchased two ceiling fans and track lighting with beautiful pendants which Jessica suggested. I will go back when ready to order floor lamps. Jessica was a wonderful salesperson and was very helpful. She had great suggestions and was very good at getting back to me with questions I had. When the manufacturer of the track lighting sent an incorrect part, Northwest expedited the reorder of the part and had it delivered to my home.Also, late one evening when I called the store about the incorrect part, Jessica was with another customer and Thelma went out of her way to help me and called back well after the store's normal hours. She, too, offered exceptional customer service skills. I highly recommend this store.”
“Several years ago, we painted our kitchen cabinets with Annie Sloan products we bought from Di Lucca Design. Michelle was helpful then in explaining the process in order to achieve the best results. After a while, and as can happen with any painted finish, we needed to touch up the "trash can" door which takes the most abuse. Since Annie Sloan is now manufactured overseas, there is apparently a slight color variation from the Coco color we originally used. Obviously, we called Michelle to ask what to do. Not only was she able to track down a sample size of the original formula, but she shipped it out to us without an invoice. Wow! If you're looking for Annie Sloan products or help/advise for your own projects, Michelle's your gal. Thanks Michelle taking such good care of us. We really appreciate it!”
