The Itasca Park District is a highly acclaimed recreation and community hub, managing 144 acres of parks, 8 playgrounds, a nature center, athletic fields, a waterpark, and a 40,000 sq. ft. Recreation & Fitness Center. The District offers a variety of programming and free events, drawing significant participation from both residents and non-residents. Its facilities, such as the Springbrook Nature Center and the Itasca Waterpark, attract visitors from surrounding areas. The Park District is known for its efficient and economical provision of education, recreation, facilities, and open space, designed to promote health, wellness, social equity, and conservation experiences for the community. The District has been recognized with the prestigious Gold Medal Award on three occasions, reflecting its commitment to excellence in park and recreation management.
The fitness center has a new addition with a state of the art gymnastics area, including a loft space above and a windowed room below for parents to watch their kids’ practice.

We bring our toddler here for their tiny tikes class and it is amazing. The teachers are great, and the facility is well taken care of and consistently growing. Thankful to be a part of the community!

Nice park district fitness center. It has all the equipment I could want for a lot cheaper than a private fitness center.
