“I chose this Life Storage location a few weeks ago because of the reviews, and the reviews were NOT just hype. Marty is a helpful and courteous man who is a wealth of information and always friendly. This place is clean, well-lit, and the atmosphere feels safe. The only thing I think could be changed a little is that the overhead garage door stays open longer than it should after the eye has been cleared, but I am new to this storage stuff, so maybe there is a good reason for that. Otherwise, Marty is truly an asset to the company and this location is bright, clean, and wonderful.”

“I rented a 5x9 trailer. The pick up was a little slow just due to the system being finicky - trying the get picture of the front of the DL took a few attempts - but it was pretty straight forward getting the equipment otherwise so no big complaints. The system just needed some coffee haha. The drop off was super simple, just drove up to the return door, staff had me go to the same spot they attached the trailer around back, they detached the trailer, and I was on my way in 5 min. The equipment is in good condition, the staff is nice and efficient, can't complain.”

Our truck was on the other lot and they quickly ran over and grabbed it for us. “As a company that works 24/7 and 365 days to handle, critical medical equipment, life saving medication, AOG shipments, car parts, Radipharm and DG shipments and etc.. we are constantly looking to fulfill our client's needs, using rental trucks, reefer units and other equipment as and when needed, in the event that all our trucks and vans are occupied.
I want to give a shoutout to this Ryder location in Bensenville/Elk Grove Village, IL generally, and Tony very specifically, who helped me find the equipment needed, and that too on a short notice on a weekend.
Anyone who works in this space knows, that currently, the coldchain work and other tempcontrol work is very busy during this ongoing summer time. Getting a dock high reefer unit on an urgent basis, and that too on a weekend saved me a ton of headache. Tony was able to help me find one, and book it for the time of my choice, and I have a very satisfied client, as a result!

Trucks are always clean and in great working condition. The storage units are always clean with easy to use over head doors. But a big reason I have continued to use U-Haul Moving & Storage of Carol Stream for years was because of Catherine the mgr. When I heard she left U-Haul Moving & Storage of Carol Stream I thought I might have to find a new provider. I met the new Mgr DeShawn and I could hardly believe that he surpassed the great service I have received for years from Catherine. “Service is quick (when the warehouse isn't busy) and you're trusted to head off on your own with just a cursory inspection. This is great for experienced drivers but can be very daunting to new U-Haul users. Also, my truck came with the check engine light on, but the odb code was minor and clearable (i was fortunate to have a reader on hand).”
