Matt S. did a phenomenal job of explaining how our system works, performed the appropriate maintenance, and parted with value added suggestions. If you live in Lake or McHenry county, I would highly recommend calling Huemann (pronounced Hee-man) first. These folks have been in business since forever and Matt really knows his trade. Call this company for the first and only service provider required for a water softener system (Kinetico in our case). Reasonable pricing but outstanding service. Can't always expect the Ferrari for Fiat pricing, quality is paramount!

Huemann just got a new customer for life. We moved into a house with well water that smelled so bad it was stomach-turning. Brad came out for a free estimate and gave us honest, solid advice. Two days later Steve provided us with the most excellent service and a new whole house carbon filter that completely removed the awful sulfur smell and taste from our water. We were drinking water from the faucet that night!! I thought I’d never drink the water here, but now it’s great! Taking a shower and brushing teeth was a revolting experience until Heumann fixed everything for us. Thank you SO MUCH!!! Don’t hesitate to hire this company for your well water issues. They don’t upsell, they’re friendly, honest and use quality products.

I can't say enough good things about the folks from Heumann. Autumn in the office helped me turn the water softener bypass off over the phone when I had a waterfall happening in my well closet. Andy came out the next day and help remove the old system that was ancient. Andy walked me through what the next steps were. He clearly explained everything to me. Jacob and Adam came out after they ordered parts and fixed up my water softener and pipes. They were very clear about homeowners maintenance moving forward. They worked with a very old system and made it so much better by securing all the parts to the wall in the closet and lowering the height of the turn-offs so we could reach them more safely. All costs were communicated ahead of time. These guys had to work in small, unlit, cramped space and they did it without complaint. They cleaned up the space when they were done working and gave us suggestions for some future improvements. Very honest, kind, hard-working crew. I would recommend Heumann over and over again!

Saturday was the first time I did the salt pickup and had no idea what was involved. These guys have been doing this for years, and they are so helpful and polite. If you need salt, you should plan on visiting this company when they do the salt sale.

We had a problem with our conditioner after a well pump failure. Brian came out and was able to put it back into good working order with not much more than a maintenance visit. He also did not mind me looking on as I enjoy to see how things work. Great experience from start to finish

Eric came out to do an estimate. He specifically stated prices include tax. He later, in text form, reiterated his prices included tax. When the invoice came, tax was charged. I called to inquire about what I thought was a mistake. He explained that because I'm in Wisconsin, tax is added. I'm not a tax expert, but maybe that is the situation. He refused to honor what he said and what he typed. I cancelled my installation. I refuse to do business with people that don't honor what they've said. Who knows what other mistakes he made that I would have to pay for later.
Their owner called and corrected Eric's errors. The water softener is in at the originally quoted price.

Originally, I had a consultation with Culligan which ended with the sales rep telling me it was impossible to install a water softener and filtration system in my townhouse because I don’t have a basement… I was very dissapointed until my friend told me about Huemann and how knowledgeable and spectacular their people are. He was right! Brad, our sales rep, really knows his stuff and made it happen! He was incredibly kind, reliable and helped me decide on the best long term solution for my water challenges.
Jake and Wess performed the installation and they did such a phenomenal job! The main water inlet is on the first floor (on a slab) in the closet under the stairs that shares an adjacent wall with the bathroom. They were able to build a trap and use the bathroom drain, and the installation looks so clean. They were even able to do it in a way that takes up the least amount of space possible so I still can use the closet for storage! I was also pleasantly surprised when they put the drywall back in for me - that is SO nice of them. After the install, they explained how everything works and gave me instructions. They were so kind, knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. I don’t think there could have been anyone better than them!
I am so excited to have my kinetico softener and dechlorinator and I know who to call and who to recommend in the future! Thank you so much.
