Never again. Went in there on a Friday around lunch time three employees working the front no greeting no help just a stare down . Went about my way shopping waited at the counter all three of them again just looked at me waiting while they are chatting away up front . Finally I just dropped my items in the counter and walked out . Same thing just a stare down as I walked out . Tried calling the store they don’t pick up called 4 times …

I grew up going to this mall and have never had such horrible experiences until recent. Both Aeropostale and American eagle constantly discriminate against me, my family, and friends. For example, today, my sister and I were stopping in at Aeropostale to return something- which was extremely clear with a bag & receipt in my hand- when I was rudely stopped by a manager (I believe) who asked why we were coming in. My response was “to return something,” to which she asks to see my receipt. Now, because I shop a lot I know that this is not common for a customer to be stopped and asked something like this (almost as if I was lying). I reluctantly showed her but the whole experience was generally unpleasant and I will NOT be spending another dime at this store- or company in the future. It’s funny because they pay no attention to the other teens coming in and out but the second my sister and I come in, we are immediately targeted.Additionally, I’m always being watched at both of these stores. I understand they don’t want to deal with the loss of any items, but watching a certain group of people when they come in is discriminatory- especially when people from ALL races steal… I can also ALWAYS expect a rude encounter at one of these stores. Their workers are terrible, just full of underage, teenage girls who always have an attitude. Which, I’m confused about because if I’m spending MY money in order for them to receive a paycheck, I’d expect to be treated a bit better?Either way, 0/10 recommend, would give zero stars if possible.

Great sales on clothing for my son. He even scored a pair of sunglasses for $8! Clean store, friendly staff.

Went to this location today with my sisters, and went to exchange some pants out. We started looking around and these young employee girls of the other race started watching us. We went to the back to look at more clothes, one employee in charge named “MJ” tells 2 other girls to “Watch us” mind you we were the only black people in there and they seemed to have a problem with us. So we tried to return our stuff that we bought off our moms card, we didn’t have the card so we asked for cash instead. Apparently we had to call our mom to get money in cash and it’s part of their policy. We returned our stuff and walked out and bought nothing. We shouldn’t have to walk out of a store with out buying anything bc of the rude employees. Please teach them to show more respect.

First of all to the Joliet staff, you work at Aeropostale not Gucci. The skinny woman and the heavy set woman racially profiled me AS SOON as I walked into the door. The heavy one had eyes all over my mothers bags, and when I went to the fitting room the skinny woman basically babysat me and talked to me numerous times as I was trying to get dressed "to check on me". Didn't have a problem with fatso til she told the asked the other lady to keep watch over me. Then I walk out and flat stanley is still eyeing me and asks me if that's all I tried on. I said "I already told you what I was trying on." So I pretended to browse more and left. Don't go here at all, especially for good clothing/prices at that. I hope both of them get fired. Happened around 3-4 at THIS LOCATION. Racist wh0res work there.

I went to return some jeans of the same price & the cashier charged me $15. Mind you they were new with the tags! I just grabbed the wrong size since the hanger size was a different size than the actual jeans were. It does not add up why on the receipt. I believe she was new because it took her quite some time, I was at the cashier for 10 minutes.

Please teach your staff to treat customers with respect. I walked into the store and this blonde skinny girl who was an employee was eyeing me up and down. She was giving me dirty looks and I noticed. It was my turn to be next in line and she didn’t even say hi or anything, she took the clothes out of my bag without asking what I actually needed. She was giving me terrible attitude when I was being polite. The cashier next to her even gave her a look because she was being so rude to me. Before I even went to the register, she was being so nice to the customers. But as soon as it was my turn her mood changed very fast. She identified herself as a manager and wouldn’t give me her name. I’ve worked in retail and a manager should never deny when someone asks for their name, it is not a bad thing. I am shocked at how rude this employee was, if a customer gives you no trouble, you shouldn’t be rude to them. LEARN TO TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT!

Recently just visited this Aeropostale to check out what kind of Black Friday deals they were having. Very clean store, plenty of good prices going on, the clearance section had an unbelievable selection in the far back of the store. Staff is friendly and helpful throughout my visit.

Walked in to get some clothes today and overheard both employees during morning time make fun of autistic children on their headset/walkie talkies. I scan Joliet mall quite frequently and it's sad to hear the things come out of their mouths when we are all equal and should be treated that way.
