Everyone at the store was so helpful and kind. I needed a good pair of jeans for work with no holes in them. As soon as I walked in the door someone approached me and asked if they could help me and I told them what I was looking for. They immediately took me to the section where I could find those jeans and asked if I knew what type of color and wash and size I was looking for. One of the employees went to the back and found a pair that wasn't out with all the other pairs in the store and that had just come in. I was extremely happy because I had just come in the day before and since I wasn't able to try them on due to covid-19 restrictions they didn't fit so I came to exchange them. Even though the jeans I replaced them with were more expensive than the ones I had bought the day before they did a price match for me so I didn't have to pay extra for the exchange.

AE recently changed their return process and it was clear the girl (Payton was her name) checking me out today didn’t know how to do it. She accused me of not having my receipt (AE started printing them on the outside of packages for online orders) and said since I used PayPal I’d have to get in store credit. I politely requested her manager because it was clear she didn’t know how to properly process the return. The manager was all huffy saying how this isn’t a big deal and was acting like I was the one worked up. I knew it wasn’t a big deal... just knew the girl didn’t know how to do it right and wanted it done properly. You would’ve thought I was raising my voice or requesting something insane lol. The manager even admitted “oh she must’ve just not know about the new receipts and return process.” Ok that’s fine... then apologize to me because she tried to accuse me of being wrong and it was clearly her. I’ve worked in retail for years and understand customer service. Overall just really negative and nasty women. I enjoy shopping alongside employees and having fun with them. Would way rather drive to fox valley and have a positive experience and environment than come here again. Wish I could leave 0 stars.

It’s ok. Too many young kids working here. They’re all busy on cell phones. Don’t want to work. Pricing is so high.

Wish they would bring the perfume that was launched in the early 2000's called "AE AURA" it was my favorite perfume of all time. Wish I knew an alternative to buy. :(
