Cashier's are very rude, workers at front desk are not the customer friendly type, I think the should be train a little better on customer service.On the other hand Employees working at the shelf's areas are very helpful all the time

Great selection of huge variety of items. Usually has 11% rebate offer which earns you money to spend at Menards. Store always clean, well stocked, and organized.

Complete idiots in the paint department. They don't know how to tint primer and disappear with a crowd of customers waiting. ?Never buying paint at Menards again!Very helpful in hardware department

Our association recently asked us to change our mailbox! Menards in Joliet made it simple and took less than 2 hours total for the entire process on a 90 degree summer day!! We purchased literally 3 items total and installed it all ourselves and we couldn't be happier with the level of service, commitment and cleanliness this store withholds on a daily basis!! We are constant customers and give this location 20 out of 5 stars!!! Kudos to all staff, management and regional management!! We see you!!!

This happened a few months ago. I'm having ptsd thinking about how angry i was. I tried returning a defecting table saw that could be used as a table top saw. The adjustable leg was on one of the 3 longer legs. I used the saw since I didn't see the leg till I tried using it as a table saw. I tried returning it and get a refund but the customer service and manager refused and gave me an exchange instead. So as soon as we left joliet location, we drove to crest hill and returned it. It was so inconvenient and unnecessary for me to drive to crest hill to return it.

One of the better Menards locations. Staff is helpful and easy to find and the layout isn't confusing. Location is also clean compared to other Menards locations

Have a better selection of items vs competitors. This is especially true in plumbing and lumber departments.

1) I am a female, 30+. While shopping today at Menards, I needed assistance from an associate. While in conversation with her, a male customer approached us and interrupted us to ask a question. I spoke up and told him "I'm sure she will be glad to help you when she is finished helping me." He then acted insulted, and the associate stopped helping me to answer his question. There was another associate within 5' of us, not busy with a customer. The associate helping me then stopped to take care of his question. Neither the customer nor the associate seemed to think there was anything disrespectful to me in this behavior. I was wearing neon yellow at the time, so I know he saw me.This has happened MANY times at Menards (at least 10); there is a general attitude that male customers deserve better service.2) I called the store to finally express my displeasure at this level of service, and spoke with a young man with a title of "front end manager." (Kohlson) He didn't seem to feel my concerns have any merit, and denied that could be a "gender issue." His stated reasoning was that they are taught to take care of aggressive customers first, even if they interrupt. I sincerely doubt he has had much personal experience with "gender issues," (especially since he is about 20) but so be it. He then gave a guest services number. His attitude was very brusque, brushing me off.3) The message at the Guest Services number states Menards is dedicated to customer service. However, there is no way to speak with a person. What a pain, and total disregard of any form of respect or genuine service on their part!within 5' of us, not heping anyone.5' of us, no

I am editing my review now because it turns out Mal wasn't 100% truthful. The instalation kit for the countertop we were told would have all the supports we would need. It didn't. The delivery people charged us an extra 50 bucks for service to bring the countertop into our home, which we paid because that is where we wanted it. Day of delivery they said, "nope, not going inside your home."Previous:Excellent service today from Mal, she was so helpful and informative. We have put off getting an island for our kitchen for 10 years...she made it so easy we are kicking ourselves for waiting so long!

We've shopped here for years and spent $$$$, the last few times shopping, employees were too busy talking amongst themselves then helping or answering any questions. Today was the last straw, we decided to buy a bunch of mulch, I was under the impression, someone could help us load. Even heard the request over the Walkie Talkies, no one showed. The 3-4 that were all around even watching, laughing & having a good ol' time with other employees, didn't even offer to lend a helping hand. We'll shop at Lowes or Home Depot with better customer service.
