My wife and I have been taking our dogs, Mando & Jango, to VCA for 2 years and we love them. They take great care of our boy. Maddy is their groomer for our boys and even gave them little Christmas treats & a card. Thank you guys so much.

I absolutely LOVE VCA COUNTY WEST in Kankakee, Il! We have 2 dogs that we’ve been bringing them to since they were puppies ! One of our fur babies isn’t quite “ normal” we got him when he was only 2 weeks old . He was raised by humans and it shows . He has HUGE HUGE anxiety and fear that everyone is out to hurt him or us , his mom and dad ..He’s very scared when it comes to “strangers” and when he’s scared he sometimes can even act “ aggesive” . Anyway , our baby ( he’s 95 lbs ) had a seizure.. still unknown why.. all his blood work came back normal.. but I just want to give a HUGE thank you to his tech , Melinda Montgomery, otherwise known as Mindy .. she made this difficult visit so much easier by being very knowledgeable about Migo’s anxiety issues . She was very comforting to Migo and made him feel more at ease. And Dr B was also amazing !!! She also saw Migo’s fear and handled the situation so well !! We didn’t even have to put a muzzle on him ! I can’t say enough about VCA county West !! I love them !! Highly recommend!! The black and white one is Migo ! But thank you again Melinda and Dr B !! You guys have one of the hardest jobs ever ! You never know when a bite is coming ?? . I will always bring my fur babies to VCA !!

Just took my toy poodle Candy in to be groomed. Kelly did a great job. She is wonderful. She used to do my dogs years ago and she is fabulous. Thank you Kelly for a job well done.

I love Dr Finks and Lacy at VCA. They have been incredibly supportive and loving of my Sarah dog. Both have taken amazing care of her and genuinely care for her. All of the staff at the front are so kind and accommodating. It’s a wonderful feeling to walk in and Sarah dog is treated with the biggest welcome. I am obviously too but they are so excited to see her each time which makes the appointments that much easier.

This was our 1st experience with this particular vet, we were going to the Vet doctor on Skyler Ave at 1st. When I tell you it's like night and day. From my 1st encounter with the receptionist giving me information on boarding our dog Apollo, she was the nicest most professional lady I've spoken to honestly all of the ladies I spoke to were. . Very informational and patient. My husband took our dog there today and came home and told me how great the experience was. They had treats there it was super clean facility and my dog actually let them feed him treats while the dr checked him out. Sent him home with a goodie bag and everything. I am happy to write this review because everyone needs to go here. They are very affordable as well. The place on Skyler or Schuler however it's spelt SUCKS. I'm glad to refer VA West for all your fur babies needs!!!! We found our new doggie docter!!!

VCA has taken care of all of my babies and I have never had a bad experience. The staff here is extraordinary and so compassionate. When my old man was put to sleep, they walked me through the whole process, gave me his pawprint in a sweet little keepsake with a clipping of his hair. shortly after, I was sent a really sweet card signed by everyone and that really meant so much to me as Sammy was my everything. All of my babies are my everything and they treat them like family here.

Putting another pets owner’s responsibility on someone who isn’t the owner and trying to charge a single mom of 5 money that isn’t THEIR responsibility to pay is absurd! The front desk lady named Lacey, was very unprofessional. Maybe a revamp of your office personal would do you some good.

Odd doctors, but good enough, I guess. Not clean though. Place smells a bit like p*** and that's understandable, I guess. This clinic is a bit expensive considering they're in the middle of rough and tumble, blue collar Kankakee. I had the misfortune of getting the older veterinarian - Dr. G. She has sort of a bad attitude. She seems to believe she is some sort of deity, which is common among medical practitioners which I find funny. She sort of struck me as mediocre as far as her knowledge is concerned. Not much by way of customer service. I nicknamed her Dr. Lurch because, well, she comes across that way. Word of advice, Dr. G. Don't treat your clients as if they're stupid. Just because we're in Kankakee doesn't mean we're not intelligent. And please do not poke fun at your clients where they can hear you. It makes a really bad impression.

All the staff were absolutely amazing and compassionate. I made a very difficult decision to have my baby go in peace, and from the second we arrived until we left, they were outstanding. Very thoughtful and gave us all the time we needed. I highly recommend.
