Do not take your car here! Quoted me $780 for a tune-up. The tune-up consisted of changing the spark plugs, changing three coil springs, an oil change, and air filter. They also charged me a $40 diagnostic fee which they did not disclose until after they looked at my car. I took my car to another shop. I had them change my spark plugs, all of the coils, and an oil change for $575. The air filter did not need to be replaced.

Friendly, affordable, and FAST! My muffler was completely busted off and they were able to repair it for a very reasonable price. I walked to Jewel to grab something while they worked on it and by the time I got back, about 20 minutes later, they were already finished! I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family and will surely be back if I need additional exhaust work done.

Beware!!! Check their work before leaving shop. $900 charge for services not done. A teenager should not have to worry if their car was fixed correctly or if they even did the work at all. 🤬🤬🤬

If I could give this place ten stars, I would. I brought my SUV here due to a loud exhaust after a GM dealership quoted me $1700 to replace my entire exhaust system. A local mechanic suggested I check out Velasquez Muffler and Brakes in Kankakee. $140 and the problem is solved. No more loud exhaust and it was done in less than in a hour with no appointment needed. Also, the nicest people! Coming back to get my brakes done in the near future. 10 ⭐️ Thank you Velasquez Muffler and Brakes!

They got my vehicle in to be serviced quickly, properly diagnosed the issue, and fixed the problem for a fair price! The whole process took only 30 minutes, very impressive!

This place has worked on 2 of my vehicles in the past. The quickness they move with is like no other. I got my vehicles back the day before I even took them in. And the customer service is insane! Absolutely LOVE this place and the staff. They’ve saved me in a last minute emergency twice!
