I always love world market. It was sad when world market in gurnee closed but at least lake Zurich isn't too far of a drive. They offer clothing, kitchen wares, house wares, furniture, wine, food, candies from around the world. They also have oils, soaps, lotions and much more bath and beauty products. They also have a jewelry and accessories section that have nickel free earrings which is treat for me, I'm allergic to nickel. Some of he jewelry has zirconia or other semi-precious stones. I got a par of earrings that has pure abalone. I bought my aunt an elephant necklace where the elephant's belly was an opal. It always like I'm being transported around the world with the variety of items they have. A definite go to for my international tastes.

This would be a negative star review, but given that they are open during the quarantine and keeping people employed, one star is automatic. Last Sunday I purchased two end tables for pickup, where you pull up and they bring them out to the car. I figured 2 hours would be more than enough time while my wife went grocery shopping and she would go pick them up. after her grocery shopping she called the store and was told they were not ready. Keep in mind when we made the purchase online it said four of them were available in store and I only bought two. We didn't think anything of it and she came home, the following day she went back to go pick them up, called on her way, and again was told they were not ready. We thought this was a little odd given that 36 hours is probably plenty of time for a store that isn't busy to get two tables off display and bring them outside. Tuesday we tried again and again were told they were not ready. it's important to note my credit card was charged on Sunday, $172. By Wednesday I was irritated so I sent a letter to customer service asking them to cancel the order and refund the credit card. Even though I forwarded the confirmation order, with confirmation number, I got an email back from customer service saying they couldn't find the order that they charged my credit card for 3 days earlier. This alone is problematic as they are responding to their own confirmation email. We sent additional information including name and address, and they then acknowledge that they found it. I received a copy of an email from customer service to store saying "customer changed his mind"... The other part that was more than annoying was the customer service representative via email tried arguing that four days is not enough time for them to get an order off the shelf to bring it outside and they were within their time to do so. We are now 4 days since cancelation....and my credit card has not been refunded $172, that was charged last Sunday for items that were never ready for pick up or received. Guess I have to call the credit card company and dispute the charge. Glad this store is open, but it won't be for long with service like this...it was easier and less aggravation to just order the same items off of wayfair.

Picked up an online order (thanks, an easy process!), walked around the store briefly to browse. Lots of open space and wider aisles, looks like they've done a good job providing more space for shoppers. Can't believe Christmas stuff was out but these days, why not enjoy the season early and longer since it's going to be a different kind of holiday this year due to COVID.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location and Mike, the store manager. We went to several World Markets to find various items for our new home. We ran into several employees, including the St Charles manager, who was less than willing to help us. We tried one more location, the Kildeer store, and met Mike who went above and beyond to help us. He definitely puts the customer first! I want to recognize this exemplary employee to the CPWM brand and wish he was at a location closer to us! We will continue to make the drive to Kildeer to buy items because of how well we were taken care of and appreciated!
