We had a business checking account for my business for the past 20 plus years, and we closed my business in October of 2023, and needed to cancel this checking account. My wife called and we were told to come in for all the help needed. We stopped in and we were told my name, the owner, was not on this account, yet my signature card was on Mercy's screen, and yet I could not do anything on my own account, due to their ERRORS. Mercy kept telling us to write a business check out to close the account and yet she had just cancelled this account to give us a cashier's check. Then she repeated this statement several times, until I corrected her statement and she said that was what she had said to us, IT WAS NOT. Mercy wanted to help us get any other accounts with them, I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM TO DO ANYTHING MORE FOR US, AND MOST OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD READ THIS AND BE AWARE. We needed to go back to this location 3 times to cancel 1 account, good luck trying to get more business from us. The way Mercy handled this whole transaction and tried to make us look like the dummies was not anyway to deal with any customer, leaving or not. The cashier's check numbers did not match the paperwork they gave to us and we were told it was all okay. They wanted the paperwork back from us after they corrected their mistakes, to which we answered NO THANKS AND WE WILL GET RID OF OUR PAPERWORK.I truly do not see any bank making this many mistakes during 1 transaction, staying in business for more than a week, maybe just dumb luck.PLEASE LOSE OUR PHONE NUMBERS AND EMAIL ADDRESSES, AS WE ARE DONE WITH YOUR BANK, and please never ever contact us again.

I have visited this branch, for the most part everyone is nice . I have seen reviews saying how Mercy is helpful and knowledgeable. True, she is helpful etc, but I have heard her make very rude comments about customers, like oh my god' look how fat she is and so onI have ask a customer, why they are making a withdrawal and what do they need the money for.She even told a customer she was never trained in redeeming savings bonds when they had a question about them.I find her to be extremely rude.

John Gedwill and Robert Magnesen were amazing. My mother recently passed away and not all of her affairs were in order. They really went above and beyond to sort everything out. I wouldn't hesitate do business with Fifth Third in La Grange Park.

I gave you a call and still the issue was not fixed. Policies are so bad and I'll never recommend this bank to anyone. 1 account with your bank and another with PNC and both stopped being used at the same time and went dormant, PNC ALL my money is there and no fees were charged, Fifth Third Bank started charging fees until all my money was gone and then they cancelled my account without notification.

Sometimes deposit times are slow.Staff are always friendly and eagered to assist.Merci is always there when needed, to answer my difficult questions.I appreciate this new location, always clean inside.

Scheduled an appointment to discuss some time-sensitive financial information regarding our home lending (5/3 owned mortgage at time) and the mortgage specialist wasn't there. Very nice teller at front counter offered to help, and while they did everything they could, they weren't whom we made the appointment with. Left still confused and both my partner and I had wasted time and went to work late. I think 5/3rd should change their name to 1/5th. That's the rating I see fit.

Absolutely the most rudest tellers I've ever had experienced here. I've only been into this small bank to deposit twice and both times I've experienced the same thing. If I wasn't shaking so much I would have pulled my money but was running late. Never going back in this branch.
