They carry overpriced junk merchandise and have condescending people who work there. Anything you can get at a department store, I recommend doing so because a department store will have better policies.

My daughter and I LOVE this store!!! We come all the time. The ladies are so sweet and the store is lovely. I have so much jewelry from here I lost count. Currently we are obsessed with the TAI charms and Swiftie section. Love seeing those when we come visit in the beautiful store extension :)

We are so lucky to have this lovely retail store in our community! The merchandise is gorgeous. Yes, the labels they carry are pricey, but they're high quality. From cocktail dresses to casual to pajamas, they cover you! In addition there are darling gifts, like beautiful glassware, candles, jewelry and odds and ends...think fun seasonal items. I'm a difficult lady to outfit but these gals are patient and supportive. Thank you Caitlin, Mary Kay, Patti, Erica and Maureen for your input today !

I would agree with many of the reviews. The store carries lovely merchandise but their return and refund policy is very poor. I purchased nearly $600 one day and the next day I received a text saying everything in the store was 15% off. I called and asked if I could get a partial refund and the owner refused. Do they care about customers returning?

Strike 1: called before the store opened and said I needed to buy a gift certificate that day. Left my info. Nobody called me back.Strike 2: ordered gift card ($500+) and asked if there was a way to have it delivered as I am on crutches and cannot drive. Nope. We can mail it to you if you pay shipping (?!) was the answer.Strike 3: daughter went to pick up card and store was complete chaos. Nobody managing the customer queue. Even though she was just picking up, all 3 associates were helping 1 patron with two more waiting.Strike 4: the gift wrapping they offered me over the phone ended up being so tacky looking. Cheap ribbon, the gift card did not fit in the bag and the worst part was this gift is for someone who celebrates Hanukkah and they used red and green tissue paper. So now I need to completely re-wrap so I don’t look like an insensitive clod.We are always encouraged to shop local, which I love to do. But experiences like this make it really frustrating. Rather than a personal, curated experience you get this nonsense. I know the store has great merchandise but with service like this, it is worth seeking out alternatives.

Great store. Wonderful merchandise but get ready to feel like a criminal when you are tailed through the store every time you enter. Please Valentina if you have a problem with theft find a way to solve other than the tail shooting dirty looks. At this point would rather support Amazon. Bummed.

Love this store for the merchandise they carry-they have so many beautiful items one can spend lots of time in this tiny store. However, there is an air of pretentiousness here that seems to pervade most of the shopping district of Lake Forest. The women that work there look down their nose at you if you're not one of their "regular" customers and don't know you by name. Also-I was asked if I wanted my item gift wrapped. I said yes but she only put it in a small box and dropped it into a little cloth bag. Not actually gift wrapped, in my opinion.

Love all of the Valentina's! The Lake Forest store is extremely welcoming and determined to help you find what you came in for- sometimes leaving with items you didn't come in for either! All around a great experience everytime I walk into Valentina!
