The pharmacy at this location is completely incompetent and the employees are ignorant. They had my prescriptions for several hours before I went in to pick it up. after waiting in a long line I found out it was not read. I was told to come back in an hour and a half. When I returned they were closed. To make matters worse I had a sick child and no medication. Never using the Walgreens again!

Horrible customer service at pharmacy. I just noticed the customer reviews from last year and should have known better instead of thinking they may have changed.

If you value your time, sanity, and dignity, do NOT use this Walgreen's for your Rx. Turn around time is HORRIBLE. Customer service, particularly Katrina, is deplorable. Rude, short, huffing and puffing as though it is inconvenient for her to wait on you. Shouts directions to people standing and/or waiting in line - extremely unprofessional. Forget even trying to call them, unless you have a minimum of 45 minutes to wait for them to answer. Run, don't walk, away from here.

I have just experienced worse customer experience with a pharmacist name Katrin. Annoyed simply to confirm a question and with hate-the-world attitude the whole time. This incident cause Walgreens to lose a 30+ years customer and will take my business elsewhere. Just ridiculous!

This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy in the entire chain - avoid this store. The pharmacist tech is simply rude. The wait for a vaccine is easily 45 minutes. Ironic as corporate HQ is just a few miles away and the Walgreen still lives in the area.

This was my first experience in this store and as a new resident of Lake Forest. There are two lines at the pharmacy. One for prescription pick up and one for vaccinations. I went to the vaccination line and I was rudely told to wait in one line. The clerk was rude, never smiled and not helpful. I felt like I was bothersome to her. When I was called by the pharmacist for my booster shot she was not friendly either. Both were very mechanical and task oriented. It would have taken only a few moments to smile or ask how you are doing, or even say thank you for coming in but none of that. I will not be coming here ever again. The only positive was the efficiency of getting my shot at the designated time. Ironically, I would rather wait longer at the Walgreens in Bannockburn as they are extremely nice and courteous there. Kindness and customer service does matter.

I booked an appt to get my Covid shot for 10am today. I show up and the pharmacist says "sorry but our frig is out so all of vaccines are ruined. Can you come back between 12-6 today and we can get you in for the shot today. So I come back at 1:15 and after I wait in line for ten minutes they tell me there is a back log of folks and it will be at least another 45 minutes. I had to go back to work so two trips to Walgreens and no shot. Big question for you Walgreens?? Why didn't you notify me in advance that you ruined all of your vaccines and cancel my appointment ? The pharmacy tech was rude and sexist on top of it all. Treating other women in line like gold and talking to me as if I was trash simply because I am a man. Don't go to this Walgreens it's a nightmare

If you want to meet the Rudest employee of Walgreens, you can meet her here. Her name is Adrianna,. She didn't greet, smile or even say thank you. With her old age, she look angry at me. She even yell at me at the cashier because she don't want me buy more . I didn't come back here again because of her. If there's a negative zero, she deserves it

I am updating my review. 8 months later Lake Forest Walgreens has returned and expanded the skin and hair care products that work best for POC hair textures . Many of the items seem to be selling well as seen by the holes on the shelf . Clearly this a a necessity for the community. I also noticed the diversity in the staffing. This is a great way to reflect and service the people who live and shop within our community.

Location ideal but shame about pharmacy staff...just went to collect a prescription and get a flu jab. Waited (my fault) as pharmacy is closed between 1:30 and 2pm for lunch. Miserable service and very slow regarding getting a flu jab ready. Sat for 10 minutes solo arm exposed waiting for pharmacist after having filled in paperwork and collected medication 10 mins earlier. Asked an assistant behind the counter what the delay was...as no customers waiting.Loudly told by ill informed Shaana who's worked there over 14 years that the pharmacist was "very busy doing other things and making the injection".....flu jab!?! Checking it's the right one maybe but pharmacist not making anything. Bad attitude, theatrical sighs and slow service. NOT the place to go collect your medication if you want a pleasant customer service experience. Spoke with the manager, doubtful change will happen. Decided to move to another pharmacy as this isn't the first time the assistants have been less than stellar in the customer service department. AVOID if you want a pleasant customer service without teenage drama.

The pharmacist on staff today was the least helpful, least caring individual I've ever encountered at an outpatient pharmacy. This person would be far better suited at an inpatient pharmacy, at which he would never need to interact with an actual consumer. His tech, however, was kind and considerate and seemed to understand that the "pharmacist on staff" was less inclined toward customer service than other pharmacists on staff.

RACIAL PROFILING I have been a Lake Forest resident for more than seven years. I'm an African American woman. I'm an Ivy League educated attorney (Penn Law 2012). I'm 34, will be 35 on February 1, 2020. I believe the Walgreens in Lake Forest discriminated against me. I went into Walgreens at approximately 8pm on a Thursday (10/31) to buy a pair of leggings, a lip liner, a lollipop and two 6.5% alcohol barefoot red sangria spritzers. My companion (white male, 35) was with me. The employee at the counter asked for both our IDs. My companion, who lives in walking distance, didn't have his ID because he wasn't buying anything and walked with me to the store so I wasn't alone. The employee refused to sell me my beverages. I asked for the manager. She reiterated the denial. They claimed it's required by law until I pointed out it is not (hi, I'm Kristin - attorney). I asked to speak with someone above the manager. She said there is no one other than the 1 800 number. The employees in the Lake Forest store don't know the names or numbers of the General Counsel or Chief of Staff of the company. The manager did not even know what a general counsel is. I called the 1800 number and spoke with a customer service representative. I described the situation, looking more and more like racial profiling. She stated that employees have discretion to decide who to card in a party of more than one person. My companion had gone home and back by now. We went back to Walgreens and got my two spritzers plus additional small bottles of wine (again for me) because after that episode I was going to need a few more! The same employee who originally asked for both IDs looked at our IDs and checked me out. I asked if she needs to scan the IDs. She said no, it's discretionary whether to scan. So, (1) it is discretionary to insist on IDs from both of us; and (2) it is discretionary whether to scan the IDs. That is a recipe for discrimination with no safeguards because there isn't even evidence in the system who they decide to card or not. I'm considering a lawsuit. Surveillance video that they will have to turn over during discovery will show the rate at which they card minorities. The representative who I spoke to earlier apparently knows who the GC and COS are but doesn't give out their contact info. But someone will contact me in the next two days. I look forward to that.

Its our go-to local pharmacy in Lake Forest. Prescriptions are ready when they say they will be. I like the app and text alerts Walgreens offers. I do also go to the Lake Bluff location because it opens earlier at 7am.
