Both my son and daughter have been attending Sylvan of Lake Zurich regularly for the past few years. The instructors are very skilled at assessing and implementing a thoughtful lesson plan that ensures progress and mastery. It is clear that they have a deep understanding of how kids learn and the steps needed for success.
What impressed me the most is that the staff has been extremely insightful in their recommendations. They address the current challenges but also look at the big picture.
I also appreciate their patience, flexibility with the scheduling, and the warm and welcoming environment. I highly trust and recommend this center and will continue to use them in the future.

My son started last year because he was behind in reading and after just shy of a year of lessons, his confidence has skyrocketed, he’s doing much better at school and his reading level has gone from a grade behind to a grade ahead! The teachers were all very involved, we got regular updates on his progress, and the curriculum definitely worked! They’re also flexible on payment plans that can fit a budget. If your child needs an extra boost, I’d definitely suggest this location!

Good Instructor and they have a superb SAT plan, and ACT they are very accommodating to help your child succeed, it is pricey but it’s very much worth it. The instructors are very helpful when they explain problems when your child is stuck and they sometimes do a better job of teaching the material then the teachers at school.

My kids have shown overall growth in their reading and math skills and have had better understanding of math concepts since they started going to Sylvan.

Sylvan continues to help my son in a his reading, writing, study skills and more. The most amazing thing I have wit essed is my son's confidence levels continue to soar!!

Very disappointed. I reached out to the location roughly 9 days ago. Spoke to a staff member and explained thoroughly what we were looking for for our son. I was told I would receive a call back from the director as they perform the initial assessment. I waited a few days and did not hear a word back so I sent a message through the website..........as of today I have yet to receive a call from the location. Terrible service from the start.

Sylvan has been fantastic for us for both in-person and remote tutoring! When Covid hit, we switched to their live, remote tutoring and it was the same level of individualized instruction, with the same engaging teachers our kids were comfortable with. Now we do some sessions in the center and some remote, and we couldn't be happier!

Sylvan has been a wonderful support for my daughter! We think it enhances her strong academic performance. The staff at Sylvan in Lake Zurich are compassionate, knowledgeable, flexible, and I highly recommend this center for a wide range of academics needs or enhancements in education!

Highly recommended! I had my son get help with homework and then preps for SATs. I could not be happier- we had to keep tweaking things around to help him and it worked...plus the staff was very receptive and accommodating to the suggestions we made. He also did a Speed Reading program that I feel helped him a lot with his SATs plus it’s a great life skill to have. Big thank you!

My daughter has really benefited from tutoring at the Lake Zurich Sylvan Learning Center. She has shown tremendous growth in her subject area and is more confident since attending Sylvan. The teachers and staff are unbelievable and are very knowledgeable, supportive and accommodating to the needs of their students. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning Center to anyone considering individualized tutoring.

This is a fantastic facility with wonderful instructors! They are all so caring and helpful and the owners take so much time to explain progress along the way. I took my second grader here for some help with her reading. Their initial assessment matched the concerns of her teacher and they created a program to get her up to speed with her peers. It exceeded our expectations! My daughter absolutely loved going there and it improved her confidence in her work. She loved getting tokens for her hard work and being able to pick out toys with those tokens! I would not hesitate to bring her back for additional help in other subjects in the future! It is a fantastic place!
