Initially we were pleased with the service. The company owner spent in past 4-5 years over $10k getting his car repaired. Most recently he spent $7,200 and began having issues when he left. Unfortunately business commitments kept him from bringing his suv in. When he did he was given an estimate of approximately $1700 and told the parts were on order. When I checked the parts hadn't been ordered because they were unsure if he wanted the work done. Nonetheless, The person was suppose to call me back with an update we've called twice and been promised a call back nothing. No worries the car was repaired in one day and there was no need to wait on parts. The customer service at this location sucks. You don't have to be dishonest and untruthful. You're not the only repair shop in the area and no one has to accept subpar service. Customer lost. Very disappointed. It doesn't matter who the person is whether they're a CEO or a blue collar worker, communication and respect is critical. This location lacks all of that. Highly dissatisfied and this will be documented and sent to corporate.

I had an appointment at 11:00am for an oil change. The manager who wrote my order seemed lethargic, took my keys, never told me how long the wait would be. After waiting an hour and half I asked the assistant manager how much longer, he said another hour and half! I ask if it should take three hours for an oil change, he was extremely obtuse, never apologetic and said there was only 1 technician and walked away. I just asked for corporates phone number and my keys, I ultimately went to jiffy lube even though my maintenance warranty plan is contracted with pepboys.

I made a appointment with them today because they told me my next oil change would be free because they mess up on my last oil change but when l call the store to confirm it they fid not put it in the computer so they lie to me please never go there they do not honor they word or work

I was inquiring about a vehicle maintenance inspection for Uber at the Pep Boys on 175th and Torrence Avenue. The gentleman informed me that if I came into the shop today that they would be able to inspect my vehicle within 20 mins! Wow now that was fast, reliable and the customer service was great! I recommend Pep boys!

Hi! I took my car ( Red Toyota Camry) to pepBoys in Lansing Illinois three months ago because my brake, ABS and engine light came on & I told them to do a full dynastic on my car & I just want everything to be fixed! They told my my total was $2700 and I drop off my car & got it back a week later (they had called me that morning & told me my total was now $3300) but the brake light was still on & 5 days later my car stop on the express way for the first time and as a female college student I got scared because I didn’t understand what was going on, so I called them and they towed to car back over there and told me to bring $1000 because they knew what was wrong ( mind you all this money I’m spending is money I’m saving to pay for my classes because I really needed a car, my school is far ) I went to get the car the next day and MY CAR WAS UNABLE TO MOVE. At this point it had went from bad to worse and they were saying they did everything they could! At this point I’m already at $4300 and I told them I needed a refund but it’s been months now & my car still there and I’ve been using Uber & public transportations ??! All I want is my money back because I have no idea how I’ll pay for my classes now that my car is no longer drivable! Disappointed is an understatement! These people took advantage of the fact that I am a female and I had no idea what was wrong with my car! I wish I could give them ZERO star because they do not care about their customers at all!
