Great Mexican food . Los Angeles style. The refried beans and rice were so good, like grandma use to make. Love the meats in the enchiladas

Nina's consistently delivers above average tacos and burritos. Large portions and quick enough service. If you dine in, in the newly enlarged dining room, you get a big bowl of chips and a large bowl of salsa. The Chimichanga is big enough for two, and tastes great.I go at least twice a month. In addition to the restaurant, the store side has also expanded. It's a great place to shop for hard to find Mexican ingredients. The only place I purchase poblano chiles, large and fresh.

Recently expanded to include the building next door, and in an area known for its Mexican food....... Ninas's is a standout. Freshly prepared, authentic, excellent value. Our favorite is the Nina's Fajitas plate......so much food that we split an order and have leftovers. But all the rest of the food we have tried is also excellent. Best refried beans, chorizo tacos...all delicious. Highly recommended if Mexican food is what you are wanting.

I LOVE their Al Pastor. It's definitely the best I've ever had! My mom had the steak taco dinner and she really enjoyed her food. My fiancé had a chicken burrito and he loved his. My dad had beef nachos and they were huge. They also give you really good homemade chips and salsa when you sit down. The restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very nice.

We got 2 pork tacos/ 2 steak tacos/ and 2 beef tacos with onion, cilantro, cheese, and lime on flour tortillas... and oh my gosh they were good!! The beef ones were a little lackluster and the beans looked unappetizing (although they tasted okay) But overall another great place for Mexican food in the Illinois Valley

Amazing authentic Mexican food. I've had their tacos and burrito. Both were unbelievably good. Also the tacos literally came within 5 mins. Great prices and environment as well. I will definitely be returning.

Several people in the Valley raved about this spot as being the best Mexican food in the area. Was it the best in the area? Maybe? Was it the best I've ever had? No. However of everything we ordered, by far the Chile Relleno taco was the bomb! More on that later. Ok my guests did the same order of a Carne Asada Burrito dinner. The Carne Asada was ok as It needed some lime and perhaps a little seasoning. Along with the CR Taco, I ordered a Milanesa de Res Torta. It was ok as the Milanesa was a little over cooked and the accompanying rice was good and the beans I passed on. Other notable mentions was the variety of salsas they offered. Of the 3, for sure the Salsa verde had some nice heat to it. Plenty of parking available and a friendly staff to boot. P.S. get yourself some Milagro Tortillas while you are there! There's a shortage damn it!

This is a cute little Mexican grocery store with a restaurant in the back. Friends recommended the steak nachos and they were delicious - though heavy on lettuce for my taste! I also ordered una quesadilla con carne al pastor which was average. Horchata was very sweet, but hit the spot. I’m a Latino food foodie, so could only give 4 stars because it didn’t wow me, but it was a good value and if you like Mexican food it’s decent. Try it for yourself and leave them a review. :)

Loved the food here! It's an unassuming restaurant behind a Mexican grocer. The chips and salsa is very good, with three additional salsas provided, including a guacamole one. The food was excellent. I went with a group of five. The food came out on time and everyone loved their dish. I got the shrimp fajitas and had to cut myself off. It was so good, but there was just so much food I had to take it home. Will be back.

So I have a confession. I'm in love. With this store! The food and service are impeccable. I feel at home and I'm Caucasian! Great grocery section and the meat department is top notch! Restaurant is tastefully done with the traditional meals available. Fresh is key here. Hey Nina. Slip me some Lengua!

Tucked inside a tiny market on 1st. Street is a tasty and authentic little find. Portions are large...you benefit from the market meat cuts. Best taste and value for Mexican Food in town. Large taco menu ... $2.35 each ...and full of meat. After many trips for tacos I tried the Steak Fajitas...a plate full of diced steak. Enough to make about a dozen tacos. $12.95. The Chile Rellenos is large and stuffed with cheese. This little place is a hidden gem. I hate telling anyone about it because I don't want to wait for a seat as this place continues to catch on. Congratulations to Nina's..Excellent food & Service, best Mexican food for your pesos! Serves a variety of Mexican Beer.

Best tacos in the Illinois Valley by a wide margin. We go here to dine in or carry out at least once a week. Authentic, well prepared and delicious. Never had a bad experience here.
