I play a ton different public courses in the Chicagoland area each season. Over the past few years there have been many improvements at RF - new cart paths in areas that required, attention, significant brush clearing/tree trimming to promote good turf and restore original vistas. Locker room/restroom were renovated recently.
Great job by grounds crew....the greens all 2025 season have been awesome! RF working on several sand traps but most need to be renovated....or filled in with turf so they can pay more attention to critical sand traps. My sand game stinks I'm okay with that we just take drops out of them if they aren't maintained.
All of the staff from pro shop, rangers, halfway house, beverage cart gals and cart barn guys are awesome and most pleasant. Thank you!
A special shout out to Jeff and Mike as well as the pro Nick. I'm proud and honored to call RF my home course.

I attended a wedding here this past weekend and this place is gorgeous! The view from the room and the chandeliers are beautiful! The wait staff were professional and helpful.

Beautiful wedding venue but the staff is extremely unprofessional. Kylie was no where to be found on the day of the wedding for most of the day which was incredibly disappointing. One of the biggest reasons I am disappointed is because the staff was talking about how “ugly” the wedding cake was. This was incredibly disappointing and inappropriate. On top of not seeing Kylie all day, the staff is openly talking about things like that. When the staff noticed I overheard them talk like this, they laughed. No apology, just started laughing. Absolutely tasteless.
The only thing laughable? How poor the service was.
While the venue was beautiful, I would think twice about booking here because of the staff. This is not what I expected from the staff on my friend’s wedding day and I am incredibly disappointed and honestly disgusted. No apology was given and the service continued to be lacking. I recommend all brides to think twice before booking here.

Hosted a bridal shower sept 6. On the positive side, the day was beautiful which helped showcase the venue. And the food and wait staff were very good .
On the other hand, there were small issues . Upon setting up, we ended up picking up some cracked plastic sunglasses and other small items on the floor that were not cleaned from the party the night before . There were a couple missing tables that were on the predetermined floor plan that had to be brought in . Also had to ask for the votive candles that were supposed to be provided . That day there was a staffing issue so the event coordinator filled in as our bartender. I did hear from some guests that service sometimes lagged when she had to go back and forth to another bar to get stock of items that were lacking in our bar. Not sure why our bar wouldn’t be fully stocked . I understand there were many events that weekend . Maybe too many to keep up with??
The biggest problem I have with ruffled feathers involved the payment process.
I went to the venue and paid the final payment with a credit card . The purchase seemed to clear and I was given a receipt . A day later , I was informed that the transaction didn’t seem to process and was asked to verify with the credit card company . I did and provided written confirmation twice as requested. Up to the day of the event, there was still a question of the payment clearing on ruffled feathers end . I allowed a second charge to be run with the updated final balance but was never credited for the first charge . After 2 weeks without resolution and limited follow up , I disputed the initial charge with the credit card company . Never did get any explanation from anyone and hope it’s all resolved .

We had our wedding here last night and it was incredible! The venue is so beautiful and everyone was very professional. The food was amazing and there was never a line at the bar. We hired Kiley as our day of coordinator and she set up all our custom centerpieces perfectly, she kept everything on pace with our timeline, and made sure we always had drinks in our hands. It was the wedding of our dreams and the staff did such a great job making it so easy and seamless from planning to day of. I wish I could give more stars.

I've hosted 2 back-to-back showers at Ruffled Feathers. Both times, the food was delicious, the staff awesome and you can't beat the location. We were fortunate to have 2 bright sunny days overlooking the golf course through the windows in the room.

Doing Pete dye a disservice. They continue to let the course go down hill every year for the 10 years I’ve played it. Been 5 since I’ve last played it and won’t do it again unless there are new owners.
Tee boxes and sand are rough or nearly unplayable conditions. It’s like a municipal course in chicago right now. Get it together. This course and neighborhood around it were supposed to be Chicago’s premiere golf and living

This place is very outdated and a joke. It has way too many bunkers for none of them to be even taken care of. Not a single bunker was playable. It was like hitting on concrete. For the amount they had this is an absolute joke. Also, our round was 5 1/2 hours because they have teetimes so close to each other cause they’re trying to maximize profit and also it was $100 for the round when it should’ve costed like $30 in that condition. Do not play here go to Coghill the best course in Lemont by far. The staff is 100 times nicer and the courses are all very well taken care of.

Could be a great course (it used to be) but has gone down hill since Arcis bought it. The bunkers are unplayable. They’re basically just dirt. Rocky, muddy, crusted hard pan or flooded with standing water like little ponds (even after many days with no rain) - basically just dirt. I see in another recent review that a starter told them to pull their balls out of the bunkers instead of playing them and said the course didn’t bother to re-sand them this year because it was too expensive. I payed $100 for the round but asked for a partial refund given how poorly the course was maintained and the guy said he “didn’t think they were that bad” with a straight face lol unbelievable.

This course could be so good. It has an amazing layout and should be really fun. However, the sand traps are unplayable. It’s crazy that a $110 round has unplayable sand traps. They’re basically just dirt. The quality you’d expect at a $45 course. I don’t get it, total waste of what should be a beautiful Pete Dye course.

Very well kept and challenging course. The food at the turn is some of the best I’ve had.

Beautiful course and very well kept. S Played the blue course with several challenging holes. Thank goodness for the lady tee boxes. 😆
