I'm very sad to have to write this review My dog has been coming here for two years, and Wednesday was the worst experience I've had The vet was in a rush and rushed me while I was talking. I was there to find out why my dog gained 10 lbs in less than a year. She wanted to do a 300 blood test and I said no. She did a thyroid test and proceeded to examine my dog in the back without me being there. That was the last straw besides the fact that she forgot to run the heartworm test and c the tech couldn't tell if she had her bordatella shot or not As a pet parent, I don't appreciate being rushed, get no answers, and not be there for my dog's exam I still have no answers and will be finding another vet who cares about my dog

They deserve zero stars. Worst vet experience of my life. Will not go into details...it would take too long to write. Stay away from this practice if you love your animal.

We have been going to Care Animal Hospital for over 20 years with several pets over that period of time. The team at Care has always been GREAT! Thank you for taking care of our furry family members!

The hardest part about moving every couple of years is finding a good vet. I thought this was going to be a perfect fit. Checkups for our 4 furbabies, exotic care for our bearded dragon, boarding all at the same place. I was so wrong. I am glad that the experience I had was with only 1 of our animals instead of with all of them present for checkups or preparing for boarding. I'm glad it happened while I was present. The vet seemed so uncomfortable handling cats. The solution was coming back the next day with this 6lb cat drugged so she was "calmer". I took her out of the kennel and placed her on the scale right after they claimed she was "aggressive" and she was as calm as could be the entire time. Even when they brought her back to the exam room she was calm in her kennel. She wasn't hiding in the back of the kennel, wasn't hissing, growling, any sort of sign to show she was aggressive. Never have I had a vet or assistant express any concerns or get attacked by her. Even when it was a new clinic. If you are uncomfortable with cats, do not handle cats. A different vet should have taken that appointment. I offered to hold her for the exam and they weren't even willing to try. There was no effort made. They removed her from the room after arriving, tried getting her out of the kennel by immediately throwing a towel on her. If anything, she was probably upset by how poorly it was approached. They didn't take the time in the room to let her smell them, pet her, or anything. Just jumped right in. Would you do that with a dog? I sure hope not. I was so baffled by the experience that I went and looked at other reviews here and on other pages and realized this is not uncommon. It felt more like a money grab attempt to get me to buy a prescription to "calm her" and then have me return the next day and be charged more. For a cat that I know is not even nearly as aggressive as they made her out to be. At least I know to continue looking until I find a vet that is able to make all of my pets and myself feel comfortable. This clinic didn't even try to make her comfortable. Not all vets are a good fit. This experience proved that. At least I didn't waste too much money here before realizing it. Could have been worse.

We've boarded our very needy Doxi here since living out in the suburbs (3+ years). Long trips or short, you can rest assured the staff here WILL care for your furry child. Our doxi is going on 11 years old now and has been through quite a few surgeries, (thank God for pet insurance) and between his arm surgery (from being a "dwarf" crooked pup, his right arm was growing faster than his left and he would trip up a lot growing up (major surgery 1) and then when he was 5 years old he developed IVDD and went paralyzed laying in my lap, long story short, he had back surgery on his exploded buldged / 2 vertebrae disks and wasn't gonna be walking again but with all the therapy we did, he's walking still today as he was before. So you know our anxiety when we leave him somewhere. He's very fragile and needs a lot of TLC. So boarding him at a facility that is also a Hospital, just in case, you're in good hands here.

Took my created gecko in for mouth rot, clear signs of it. Was told it a respiratory infection, given meds and shots for close to 400 dollars. I should have known better (followed my gut feeling) but took the advice of the vet. Went back for 6 shots at 31 dollars a each visit. Mouth rot is worse now and taking my gecko to another local vet. Perhaps regular animals they are ok with. Steer clear for your exotic needs.

Easily the best vet experience you'll have. If you're taking your pet somewhere else then you're doing it wrong.Updated on 5/14/23:I can't say enough how awesome C.A.H. is. From the great receptionists, the Vet techs and finally Dr. Quicho are so over the top excellent. Both our dogs are very relaxed there and are treated like family. This place is run with love.

Dr. Luaces and his team are EXCELLENT! He is the BEST surgeon I know. He is the only surgeon I trust to work on my dogs. That says a lot because I run a dog rescue and work with vets all over the midwest. I travel almost an hour one way to see him and it is worth every second of my time. He and his staff are kind, caring, and AMAZING.

After using a handful of vets throughout my 35 years of dog ownership I find Care animal hospital the best. When you first walk through the door you can feel their love for animals. Vets are very skilled and prices are good. Highly recommend
