Engages in anti-consumer practices - intentionally balance billing when it is illegal in the state of Illinois, implying that it is up to patients to take action when it's not (again, balance billing is illegal) and their phone and web-chat require significant wait times to actually interact with anyone. I will be seeing a different doctor if this is the lab they choose to partner with going forward.

Just horrible. They put me in collection even thought my insurance settled the bill. They do not want to cooperate and try to resolve the issue. It’s been 7 months and still nothing.

Apparently my dermatologist uses this company for pathology, however within 1 or 2 days of receiving a bill from them for whatever my insurance did not cover, they were calling to collect even though the bill was not due until 1/6/22. They were calling me very late December. (They did the same thing to my wife who saw the same dermatologist about a week before me.) I will have to let my dermatologist know that this company is having financial difficulties and that he needs to find a new company to work with for pathology.

I've lowered my rating for this business due to continuing issues with their billing system. I am hopeful that their billing department will submit my procedures correctly although I've learned that the insurance information in at least one of their other facilities systems remains inaccurate. Despite the fact that I clearly explained several times my current insurance, the individual at their main office with whom I communicated disregarded the information that I gave her while insisting that my insurance information would be updated by my provider. Unfortunately their system is pulling outdated information from somewhere. The individual left me without a plan to resolve the issue.
