I have been a customer at Libertyville Bank and Trust since they opened many years ago. I really appreciate the small-town vibe of the bank and the exceptional customer service they provide. I have recommended the bank to many friends who have had to pay fees to withdraw their own money from their banks. :)

We’ve used libertyville bank and trust for about 7 years now and literally every single time my wife and I go in here they ask us “ if we know what branch we’re in” or if “we need the Gurnee branch” . No we’re not idiots we know where we are, who is training these people ?

I signed up for a promotional offer of $300 after meeting the requirements which indicates 2 consecutive months of $500 or more in deposit. Requirements met for several months and it was confirmed by personal banker and her manager during in person meeting at the bank. Then I received multiple calls stating that the "marketing department said no because I am not using their bank as a primary bank." Phone tag for over 1 week, wasting my time and energy trying to reach them and understand what is happening. The result? Unless I make this bank my primary bank, the $300 bonus will not be provided. This is dishonest and unprofessional treatment of local customers. It is very disappointing to see multiple bankers lie and be unethical in their business practices. I do not recommend this bank to anyone and will be closing my account.

GO TO A BANK THAT KNOWS HOW TO BEHAVE. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOOLS. Michael J. Barbini, the Vice President of business banking, gave my husband who had dementia a loan. I had been trying to divorce Dan; he had become violent towards me and was making incredibly bad business decisions for several years. He had constantly been late paying our mortgage as well, information that Mr. Barbini had at his fingertips, yet gave him a loan anyway. My husband died before the divorce was final. I found out he had given nearly all of our money to an escort. There was $80 left to my name in my husband's account. Mr. Barbini literally confiscated it, and had the nerve to send me a bill demanding the rest, even though he had been fully informed of the situation, and had the proof before him. GO TO A BANK THAT KNOWS HOW TO BEHAVE. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOOLS.
