I have been bringing trucks to this dealership for the last 3 years. They have misdiagnosed a internal engine problem on my last vehicle. They supposedly fixed it 3 times and when I drove 5-6 miles each time it did the samething. Then they finally had GM involved and they figured out it was a broken lifter. Then I purchased a new truck in 22' and started a new service relationship. They have changed my oil 4 times and 2 of the 4 they shorted over 2 quarts on 1 and didn't tighten the filter on the other. I had left my truck in my driveway fir 4 days and noticed a 9" diameter oil puddle under my truck so I took a look under and found the problem. I drove for 3 weeks not noticing the dripping overnight. Additionally they ordered a replacement seat cover bc mine was defective. Never called when it came in to make an appointment to have it installed. I called after 2 months and they said yes its in. I said I would make an appointment as soon as I get a chance. So I made an appointment and when I arrived it was suggested some due preventative maitenence so I said sure go ahead and service my break tune up they called it. Gave me a price of $79.95 and didnt mention per axle. So thst was a surprise when at the register after being made aware the parts department sent my seat cover back bc nobody claimed it. When I asked how long yo get another one, Dennis told me it's on back order. I have now decided to bring my truck there Woody's GMC. They are so incompetent!!! Did n't waste your valuable time and money with this place.

We purchased a new Chevrolet Tahoe RST on 3/19/22. It's one of the most regrettable purchases that our family has made due to its performance and probably the worst customer experience from Libertyville Chevrolet that I've ever received. All mechanical and electrical components seem to be working so far. However, any vibration or bumpiness to the road causes metal-on-metal tinging and pinging as if someone is using morse code in the truck. Both middle chair frames have been repaired or replaced. The third-row bench as well. The rear window seems to buckle and make odd popping sounds even when the truck is motionless. The most frustrating noises have been various rattles throughout the vehicle in between the exterior wall of the truck and the inside panels. Most notably in each of the (4) corners. Only one of these areas (right rear corner) has been identified and fixed. We have had the Tahoe serviced at Libertyville Chevrolet for these issues on 11/30/2022, 1/25/2023, 2/18/2023, 4/10/2023, 5/17/2023, 7/17/2023, and an ongoing (open) ticket beginning 7/26/2023. I've never been offered or have received a loaner vehicle for any of these visits.I made an appointment online for 7/26 to look at the continued rattling inside the panels of the left rear (supposedly corrected in an earlier visit), rattling with the right/middle bucket seat (addressed and *repaired on the 11/30/2022 visit), rattling in the front/right near the door and vent, and an oil change. I arrived for my appointment to be told that they do not have enough technicians to address the first two concerns - only the oil change - and that I would need to make another appointment. This alone if frustrating because we adjusted our calendar and some activities to account for being with only one vehicle, only to have to do it once more the following week. Nearly every prior visit resulted in me dropping the truck off and subsequent call later from a Service Advisor saying "the technician could not hear the noise you described". Since I was already there, I asked if I could take a test drive with one of the technicians, Elvis, since I was there so he could at least confirm the rattling in the panel and bucket seat. We took a short drive and he heard all. We were even able to recreate the front/right noise at their location when the truck was parked. They completed the oil change and I scheduled another appointment on 7/31 to address the other (3) rattles.I dropped the truck off again on 7/31 with Service Advisor, Manny. I explained that Elvis already identified the noises last week. I hoped for a quick turnaround. After not receiving an update, I called and spoke with Manny on 8/7. He said that he needed to speak with the technicians and that he'd call me back tomorrow. He did not.16 days had passed so I went to speak directly to Manny on 8/15 for an update. NO progress had been made and the technicians were unable to identify any of the (3) rattles. I explained that I already went on a test drive with Elvis who identified them on 7/26. He apologized and asked if I could take ANTOHER test drive with the technician! I refused and waited over an hour to speak with the Service Manager, Andy.Andy apologized for the confusion and lack of communication on his service department's behalf. He said that he would take a test drive with Elvis that day and get back to me with more information.A week later on 8/22, I finally hear from Manny who said they were putting in some new retainers and added padding to the panels and that it'd be ready soon. I went to pickup the truck on 8/25 having been told that it was ready to go. I didn't drive more than 100 yards out of the parking lot and ALL of the noises were still easily audible. I turned around and left the truck with Manny again explaining the noises were not fixed. He said that he'd have an update for me soon.Again after not receiving any feedback, I left a voice message with Manny on 9/5. He called back and said that while they do not have a definitive date, that a Field Engineer

Pulled in for service and no one greeted me, even though I had been there before. The Service Department staff seemed bothered that we were even there. I could over hear them being very rude to another customer and when they approached me they are very cold. They have lost their 5 star customer service!

Very unhappy with my experience @ Libertyville Chevrolet. My Chevy Volt had an engine failure nearby their location and it was towed there (I live an hour away) late at night. The next day when I called the service center I talked to Arthur who, at first, did not even recognize that my vehicle was at their lot. I told him I thought it was a gas issue, and even though it wasn't empty... I asked that they fill it up to see if it might have been some bad gas. The next day he called me back, and said it wasn't a gas issue and that the car "thought it had been stolen and needed the computers reprogrammed" and that might be enough to get it back on the road. I assumed they had filled it up and tested it, at this point. The computers were reprogrammed for $500+, and afterward, I get a call from Arthur saying, "I'm going to ruin your day..." He told me the car needed a new transmission and that there are only 2 in the US and the one he thought he could get was asking $8,000. I told him, charge up the car and I'll come to pick it up. I talked to the master tech who tried to warn me that taking it off the lot was a huge risk. He also told me things that weren't true: that the car always has regen mode on and that it won't run on battery if it thinks the engine has failed. When I picked up the car I got a paper with big handwritten red letters on it reiterating the risk I was taking leaving their parking lot. I will assume this was done just to make sure I was aware and not scare me into reconsidering. The other thing I noticed was that my car had not been filled up with gas. The engine light was still on, and I did check my ODBII (I always have plugged in) and verified that there were a significant number of codes. Long story short - I put gas in the car at the closest gas station. I ran it until the battery was at 0%, and after a few seconds of a rough-running engine and a weird smell coming out of the vents the engine started sounding great and the engine light went off and all the codes cleared. So, I'm happy -- very happy. I saved myself $8,000 by not buying a new transmission from Libertyville. But, I'm also very upset that I wasn't heard... and when I called to tell them my complaint. It was 100% defensive. No accountability. I will accept that they have to follow the book and the codes. But he also told me, as policy, they do not fuel up cars because a customer requests it. I was not told this. I was just told that the issue was not the gas. No apologies, I even heard the line "I will listen to my master Chevy Volt technician over a customer". Well, that master technician is still a human being... and they can make mistakes. If you want to be treated empathetically by your automobile technician, find a different place to take your car. It's probably not going to be a dealership, at least not this one.

I have several Chevy vehicles that I have brought here to be repaired and shame on me for needing to get them fixed right away but I will never bring another vehicle here to Libertyville Chevy EVER. They will not investigate why your car is not working properly. They put it on a computer and whatever the computer tells them which a computer will only give you a generic answer, they will charge you for that and leave it at that.If you ask them the question What is causing the issue and why?,They will tell you they don't know and to just buy a new car. They will not be mechanics and investigate further. You ask them questions and they seem like you are bothering them with your questions and seem highly annoyed.Wow where is the custom service, you are suppose to be the experts, sorry if I am bothering you in trying to get why my car isn't running right.I know this review means nothing but if one person sees this review and they think twice about taking their car here than this review will be worth it..... truly truly unprofessional people

Gary was very helpful with our sale. We drove from Rockford and he sent me additional pictures so I could see the color of the vehical in natural lighting. Beautiful vehicle, friendly service and willing to work with us to meet our price. Only downside is we couldn't take it home right away as a mirror was on order, but Gary offered to drive it to our door. Now that's great service!

Absolutely wonderful car-buying experience. Very nice salespeople, got a great deal on a beautiful used truck. PROBLEM: USE OF CHASE AUTO FINANCE. PLEASE STOP USING CHASE. Have you read the reviews of Chase Auto? All negative including mine. And all say the same thing. They won't release the title after the payoff, payoffs don't get credited correctly or at all, going round and round with representatives that basically lie to you. I refinanced before the first payment was due, the payment went to the payoff address in Fort Worth and was signed for. Now it can't be found and no phone calls to the person who signed for it can be made, blah blah blah. PLEASE STOP USING CHASE.

Went to purchase a car. Confirmed it availability prior to coming. Set an appointment. When we got there it apparently had not arrived from the factor. I spoke to someone verified the vin number. Got an email about the details by was not there when arrived. But they did have a model 10,000 more expensive. Seems like bait and switch!

Libertyville Chevrolet engages in deceitful and dishonest sales tactics including falsely stating prices in advertisements, falsely claiming to beat any competitive offer, and claiming to offer free incentives that are not free. These tactics fly in the face of the doctrine of good faith and fair dealing and instill a sense of distrust. We contacted Libertyville Chevrolet about a vehicle we saw on their website - Stock No. T29060, VIN: 2GNAXWEVXN6104654 We had previously found and put a deposit down on a nearly identical but slightly better equipped vehicle at another reputable and reliable dealer. Their MSRP and their actual selling price was $37,790 with an out the door price of $40,661 including sales tax. The only issue - there was a 2-to-3-week delivery timeframe. After more than 10 phone and email exchanges we decided to go with the vehicle at Libertyville Chevrolet because their vehicle was on the lot already. When finalizing the pricing we were informed there would be a "Market Adjustment" which was nearly $6,000 over THEIR advertised price. Despite their empty rhetoric, Libertyville Chevrolet refused to honor the competitive price even though we offered to show them the VIN No. and dealer invoice from their competitor. We purchased the vehicle from the reputable dealer WITH NO B.S. "Market Adjustment" and a confirmed delivery date of March 8. GM's MSRP includes healthy profit margins for their dealers. The so-called market adjustment is just a way for Libertyville Chevrolet and other unscrupulous dealers to fleece their customers. Their advertised pricing is just a ploy to get victims in the door. Save your self a headache and a ton of money by going elsewhere!

If I could give Omar zero stars I would. Omar is THE most disrespectful "salesman" ever. Does not care about the customers wants or needs. Only cares about his commission. Avoid at all costs.
