Went in to the dealership to buy some parts and it’s 100% true. They charge over List/MSRP , what the hell? Be careful when you bring your car for service or to buy parts or accessories, they over charge !! Rip off! Buyers beware

Best car buying experience ever!! My salesman, Victor Mares, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond for me. Even though I wasn’t buying a Cadillac, everyone at the dealership was so kind, welcoming and professional! I can’t recommend this dealership enough!!

I recently had my 2013 Cadillac XTS serviced at Napleton Cadillac of Libertyville on 09/22/23, and I must share an experience that deeply concerns me, particularly because I was blissfully unaware of the gravity of the situation until it nearly resulted in a catastrophic incident.I brought my vehicle in for a repair service related to an engine cooling fan running too long, which included the addition of a thermostat and possible sensor. The intention, of course, was to ensure the vehicle's continued reliability and safety. However, following the service, I unknowingly encountered an extremely perilous situation when I attempted to accelerate into traffic. To my astonishment, I discovered that the vehicle's top speed had been inexplicably restricted to 40 mph. This severe limitation rendered merging into traffic an incredibly hazardous endeavor, putting me on the brink of a potential fatality. What adds to the disconcerting aspect of this experience is that error codes and service records, which were shown to me at the dealership using a code dongle reader, unmistakably indicate that the issue was introduced during the service itself. I firmly believe that this information should be readily available on file at Napleton Cadillac of Libertyville, corroborating the legitimacy of my claims.Regrettably, when I communicated my concerns to the dealership, I did not receive an apology for the distressing situation I had unwittingly endured. Moreover, the offered resolution was far from satisfactory. I was offered a ride home and informed that I would need to bear the cost of further diagnosis and endure a protracted wait (until 09/26/23) for a feasible repair, which only added to my profound frustration and inconvenience. This experience could have had far graver consequences, and I was completely unaware of the severity of the situation until I found myself in harm's way. It is only through sheer grace and quick thinking that I managed to avoid a catastrophic collision. I shudder to think about the potential outcome had my wife and children been present in the vehicle after the service had been performed. As a loyal Cadillac customer for over 20 years, I humbly implore Napleton Cadillac of Libertyville to urgently investigate and rectify this matter. The safety and well-being of your customers should always be paramount. Additionally, I kindly request a full reimbursement for the service charges incurred, as my experience was not only deeply unsettling but also inexcusable.I hope that Napleton Cadillac of Libertyville will take immediate steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and to ensure the continued safety and satisfaction of its valued customers. In the future, there should be a substantive test drive performed after any part is installed on a vehicle to avoid such peril. On a positive note, John Melus saved the day with an excellent deal on a 2021 XT4. Thank you for your helping my family to be safer and getting me reliable transportation to my job!!

I am SO happy with Dan, the salesman and Kathy the finance person! They were both absolute TOP NOTCH! I have bought a lot of vehicles in my life, and this was the BEST car buying experience I have had! I would HIGHLY recommend Dan (salesman) and Kathy (for finance). Dan answered all of my questions and went over everything before signing. Kathy is just awesome! Went over everything just like Dan and didn’t try to upsell anything and understood my payment budget. I normally cringe at sitting at a dealership.. these two people made me change my perspective and are true professionals!I’m so impressed and happy with them both!

Other reviewers are correct. Advertise price than add security and keyless on bill of sale.1500.00 add on. Not option.Offered only to pay off trade in even though it was worth much more.Said it needed brakes and they were done 2 months ago.Steer clear! There’s a reason why they had 0 customers on a Saturday afternoon..

Wish I could give this place ZERO STARS. Called for a service estimate and I was quoted almost 45% over what parts should be listed at. I asked the service advisor why and he said his dealership/corporation charges over msrp because of what happened with the manufacturing during the pandemic . I called 2 other GM dealerships which aren’t owned by Napelton and got much cheaper estimates. Napelton you should be ashamed for charging over what your own corporation recommends to charge customer. List cost is already almost double your cost, why mark it up more? This will catch up with you . If you think people don’t read reviews you are delusional!!

Keith - My observation is not strange but indicative of how happy your staff is at your establishment. My appointment was on 7/27 at 10am. I was there for an oil change. Employee dissatisfaction decreases work performance and morale and in turn that is what your customers receive. Maybe that explains why my oil change took 3 hours...yes, 3 hours.

Sales lady was so pushy she wasted her time she just kept asking me about finances and ask you to do is say, would you like to buy it out right? Her name was Norma. She told me there would be no credit run even when I kept trying to leave. Knowing I had been dealing with identity theft, I did not think it was wise of me, but still went along with it because I was lied to, and told my credit would not be run. She came back with numbers and five minutes later came back with a denial. Very easily could’ve paid cash for the car but that was never brought up. My credit score dictated the entire course of the purchase and you lost a sale on a $45,000 vehicle. .

To Keith H - I've had three fraudulent credit card charge attempts by your business for a total of almost $3000 and have been dealing with it for over two hours but you want me to call you and waste even more of my time??? Maybe instead you could call your credit card processor and fix your problem yourself.Daniel H."Keith H.Business OwnerDaniel H - if this is so, please contact me at 847-362-4100. I have not had any calls or notifications regarding your accusation. Thanks Keith Herrera 847-362-4100 General Sales Manager"

Wasn't asked what my needs were in a car, how much I drove, where, comfort level, type, etc. I picked an XT6 took it for a drive. Then was presented with a high price tag. I understand set prices these days, but there was no justification, even after showing him comparables I had already researched. Said they added some additional security theft system and that cost a lot, I could not tell anything additional was installed. I didn't ask for that, nor did I understand why a pre-owned Cadillac would need an additional security system. They said they added something else like a special paint coat I could not see, but still the price was not justified. It was "Here's the price, take it or leave it" So I left it and purchased one the next weekend from another cadillac dealer.

I have made several out of state purchases in the last couple of years, and this process was by far the smoothest. They gave me the best price I could find on the last year CT5 Bkackwing. (I promise you I checked almost every dealership in the country) Victor kept me apprised at every step of the process. I highly recommend Napleton Cadillac of Libertyville! Thank you guys!

Wonderful experience I felt like I was part of the Cadillac family! No high pressure sales, polite staff, and it didn't take the entire day to complete the process. I must agree with the add'l $1,000 that they add to the price of the vehicle. I was not told about this until I got to the dealership. This extra $1,000 for options you don't want or need should be disclosed before you go all the way to libertyville. Luckily I was able to decline 1 of the options so I only ended up paying $300 for some kind of theft reimbursement benefit that I really don't need because I have full coverage insurance. But the price of the vehicle was very reasonable so I just took the extra charge with a grain of salt. If it wasn't for this specific situation I would have given 5 stars.

Found the car I liked on their website. Worked with Norma and Victor. They were both beyond friendly and extremely helpful every step of the way. Process was shorter than I was expecting and everyone there was professional and fair to my purchase. By far the best experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle and they were low staffed. Absolutely love my vehicle!
