I had an extremely ALARMING experience at the Libertyville Tesla dealership. My wife and I were there to purchase our second Tesla (our first was purchased at the Chicago dealership) and were in search of a blue model Y. Our friend had reserved one for the standard $250 but was still not sure if he wanted it. After he found out my wife wanted that EXACT combination for that model, he said he was willing to let her have it since he was still undecided. We drove from downtown Chicago to the Libertyville dealership to see if this could be arranged. We explained the situation to our wonderful sales associate, who presented our case to the manager, Naveed. He confirmed that he would be able to arrange a quick switch of VIN numbers and that our friend would have to cancel his reservation at the exact moment we were ready to make our payment. We filled everything out, the forms, financing, clicked on the correct links, and even paid our $250 reservation (with the guarantee we would be able to take over the exact model our friend reserved), etc. When it was time for our sales associate to make the VIN switch (the final step), our sales associate called us and said that the car was already released and reserved by someone else. We called our friend immediately and he shared real-time screenshots that the car was still reserved under his name on the app.We started talking to the other associates to figure out what happened and strangely, one of them called our sales associate to the back room. It was clearly an inside job. The manager, Naveed, later came out and said that he canceled our friend’s order himself, after giving us and the sales associate his word that we would be able to get the car. We even asked if he could call whoever purchased the car online to tell them it was already promised to us, but he refused to do so. He clearly wanted the commission for himself and in the process screwed over my wife, me, our friend (who now lost his $250 as his order was canceled prematurely), and the sales associate working with us. It was a complete waste of our 2 hours and this experience left us feeling very sour about Tesla, particularly the Libertyville dealership. If you want honest and fair treatment when buying your Tesla, avoid Libertyville Tesla. Their manager, Naveed, is manipulative and sabotages his employees’ sales. The configuration we wanted was rare and Naveed knew that he would be able to make a sale within minutes if he released the reservation, which he successfully did, but at our expense. He clearly doesn’t care about the customers or his employees, just his paycheck. To top it off, Naveed refused to refund the $250 we paid under false pretenses as well as our friend’s $250 for a reservation that HE (Naveed) canceled prematurely WITHOUT his consent. Where is customer service when you need it? I’ll be honest, I’m still a fan of Tesla but out of principle, will NEVER step foot in this dealership until management is properly investigated.

Tesla is the most easy place to purchase a car , never think can be so easy like that . If you paid online, you just need to be go there and match the car to your phone ,then you can go. They did put your name on the car you purchased. 5minutes can be finished, everything can be operated in the app of Tesla. All the car dealers should be like that .

I picked up a 2022 Model 3 at this store yesterday, and my experience with them was frustrating. To list the issues I noted on day 1:1) The car had low tire pressure;2) Windshield washer fluid was completely out;3) The wireless phone charger does not work at all, and my phone battery almost died on my drive back;4) The supposedly 30-day premium connectivity trial expired within two hours of the delivery;5) THE ENHANCED AUTOPILOT PACKAGE THAT I PAID EXTRA THOUSANDS FOR IS NOT AVAILABLE, and neither is the basic autopilot;6) The touch screen of the car was FILTHY, and there were multiple dried grease spots near the driver seatsI bought the car from Tesla because I thought they know how to take care of their vehicles best, but that's definitely not true with this store branch. It seems these guys cut corners and did not refurbish their trade-ins to Tesla's own standards, and just washed the exterior then handed it to me. Now I have to deal with all these issues that should have been fixed before the delivery at the service center; it's a such waste of my precious time. I paid a hefty premium to the store compared to a third-party dealership, precisely because I wanted to avoid hassles like this. But Tesla Libertyville turned out to be worse. Any third rate dealership would have done much better.

Very bad service and experience. I got couple teslas for private use and company and I never met with that kind of disrespect and attitude. I would never go there again. I got misinformed and later on they press me to pay for the repairs which should be under the warranty and I did not agree to it. I think they got to the point that they don't care about customers anymore. I talked to Dan-Manager but he was not helpful at all. It's sad but I think we should look for different manufacturers.

The service department is always incredible. The few issues I've had that were minor, I've always been told to bring the car in at my leisure, and I'm in/out within 15 minutes. The other cars I've had that weren't Tesla, even for a minor issue, I had to SCHEDULE service, and it would take at least an hour.

Easy to work with, I placed one call and they helped with every step in the ordering process. They were patient and answered every question. Thank you for making this choice easy.

If I could leave a negative review I would. I purchased a 2020 used Tesla model s from this location about 2 weeks ago. When I arrived to pickup the vehicle the car was absolutley filthy inside and out. I immediately took it to a detail shop to have fully detailed the next day. A few days pass by and I notice an odd clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle and when I’m sitting at a stop light for too long the car loses power and PRND flashes red. I took it to the Naperville location to have it inspected and come to find out BOTH drive units need to be replaced, there was moisture in the encoder and the front axels needing repaired. In other words, there were several parts needing to be replaced. Now I am without a vehicle for the next (estimated) 3-4weeks until the parts needed come in and they can get the vehicle fixed. Im extremely upset with my experience at this dealer and will never recommend them to anyone. The Naperville/lisle Tesla location has been wonderful to work with and are very apologietic for the lack of quality assurance the libertyville location provided for us.

I picked up my new Tesla at this Libertyville location. The next day I received an email from Tesla about financing:"Making PaymentsYour financing is through TD Auto Finance. Expect to receive your first billing statement, privacy notice and new customer information around 21 days prior to first payment due date."The statements never came, after calling the main Tesla number they told me to call the TD Bank to see what's going on because they did not know anything.Turns out Tesla failed to communicate properly. Instead of me waiting for the bank statement, I was supposed to call TD Bank to confirm some of my information.Because of this screw up I was one payment late, incurred late charges. Someone at Tesla Libertyville did not do their job.

Picked up a Model Y yesterday from this location and I wouldn’t say it was a satisfying experience. Although the advisor was kind he seemed like he was in a rush throughout the whole experience. You’d think you’re purchasing a 50k car, you’d atleast get 10-20 minutes with a rep to go over the car, it’s features, warranties, etc but the rep I was working with, Felipe, was in rush throughout the whole time. I had questions about the car and it seemed like every time I had a question it was an inconvenience.I had about 5 minutes with the rep outside and at one point he even told me I have to go there are other customers inside. I’ve purchased numerous vehicles with other dealers and I’ve never felt this unattended to. I am buying a 50k car and I can’t even get 5 minutes to ask questions I have about the car. I am giving this a 2 star and not a 1 because although I experienced this, I would say the advisor was friendly. However, if a customer is spending $50,000 on a car you should be willing to attend to the customer and answer any questions they have. Not, “there are other customers waiting inside” after a mere 5 minutes. Also, to top this off, I asked Felipe if he could please print my lending agreement and I was informed it can be found on the app. I informed the rep I would like a physical copy though if possible and he said “ok I can check if it’s available online” because you just signed it. He then proceeded to check his laptop for a mere 5-10 seconds and said it is not available because I just signed this. Little did he know… the lending agreement was signed last night.. Later I was able to speak with another gentlemen WHO WAS indeed able to print this for me. Again, this adds on to the rushed and unattended experience.I would highly recommend the highland park location over this as I’ve been there before and I’ve never felt this unattended to.

I bought a 2018 model 3 long range from the Libertyville Tesla store. They claim that they had prepared the vehicle for delivery but when I actually picked it up after 7 PM I got a low tire pressure warning on the monitor and a more serious warning. The 12 Volt, low voltage battery was not working correctly and that some of my options would not be working. This was very disappointing because I have a trip that is over 200 miles in distance and I have a car that is not roadworthy. It makes me wonder what level of preparation if any they did to this car. How do you not realize the tire pressure is low, how do your not realize that the 12 Volt battery is not working, right? Is there any oversight, Management, Supervision, accountability? This is my first experience with a Tesla, and it has not started off well due to the folks at Libertyville Tesla.

DO NOT buy from the Libertyville location. Use the app, and find literally any other Tesla dealer in the Chicagoland area.I love my new car, unfortunately this Tesla branch is absolutely horrible. They never submitted my registration/title paperwork to the DMV so I called them to figure out what was going on. They were impossible to reach. After my temp tags expired they called me back to let me know someone had finally submitted my paperwork. They were extremely poor with communication, they didn’t apologize for their mistake, and they did nothing to help me remedy the situation. It’s been over 3 months, and I still cannot register my vehicle or legally drive it.

My husband and I wanted to see a car that was posted on Tesla’s website , we called Libertyville location multiple times but no one answered. We drove 30 minutes to try to see it but when we got there; the lady at the front said the car is in service, then my husband spoke to the manager and male manager said there is nothing he can do. He didn’t take my husband information to contact him when the car is out of service. It looks like they don’t want to sell. The lady was very nice but the guy manager who was working on 9/16 around 6 pm was careless and had no initiative to assist or help customers

Ryan, a product advisor at the Tesla Motors Store, was very knowledgeable and professional explaining the Model 3 and the test drive. We drove one for about half an hour and purchased one in 10-15 minutes. Unheard of at traditional car dealerships.

Took delivery of our Tesla from this location. Felipe was wonderful. Coming from Wisconsin, I was a little bummed we had to travel to Illinois thanks to our silly laws, but the experience was top-notch. The buying experience with Tesla is vastly superior to the dealership nonsense.

Very polite, helpful staff on hand to help you through the process of test driving, comparing models, and ultimately picking up your brand new Tesla... the latter being very hands-off but simple.
