As relative newcomers to the Lincoln area, we love this place. Friendly people and excellent food. Our only disappointment thus far is that they will no longer be open on Sundays. With football season here, we'll have to find somewhere else to go. ?

As a member of Legion Post 263 Auxillary (through my husbands membership and mine, in the 50’s), POST 263 is the best place to find good times and fun, good friends and friendship, weddings and partying and excellent food when being served by the kitchen staff. All in an excellent setting too.

I always have a great time at the extreme bar bingo I come from spfld il to Lincoln. we always have a good time with everyone joking nd laughing this is definitely a positive thing and a great way to get people in there. I was very impressed the first time I came there the commander himself came up and introduced himself to me and thanked me for coming. That meant a lot to me and made me feel very welcome. Thank you for having us we all appreciate the games and the members are really good down to earth people. God Bless

Attended a wedding reception and the space was beautiful and spacious the issue I noticed was their unprofessional employees and the manner they handled a situation with the people who had rented this space. These employees and management went as far as going to a table that wedding guests sat at and yelled at two people sitting at the table because she didn’t feel they should be talking about a situation that had happened with the bridal party and she was right to continue to talk badly about all involved in the situation. This should have been handled with a simple civil conversation instead of getting defensive, blaming and going on and on while the guests sitting at the table were waiting for the bride and groom to enter the room. When this employee was told to just drop it from the wedding guest this employee/bar tender deciding to keep going off about the issue. Once she felt she was done she returned behind bar and continued to talk about the people she had an issue with. Then as if it wasn’t enough the gentleman that I am guessing is the manager was in the kitchen with employees speaking about the “rude” guests and other adjectives I feel should not be put in this review. This was also a conversation that could have been conducted when this wedding reception was over instead the four of them stood in the kitchen talking horribly about the wedding party and the guests sitting at the table the bartender went off on, this I know because I walked in on it due to I was helping with the food for the reception. I have never encountered such a horrible group of people running a business. Definitely some coaching opportunities in how to effectively communicate with people in situations like this. Not only did this staff feel they didn’t have to apologize for their actions they went as far as having open conversations with those sitting in the bar as the reception was going on. I feel that if you work for an organization that is for those who have served our country the professionalism needs to be in the fore front of running this venue. I was embarrassed and felt horrible for the veterans and active service members these employees ridiculed.
