We are so lucky to have such exceptional vet services locally. We felt our concerns were met with compassion and an appropriate treatment plan was created with care for our cat. Will absolutely go to them again!

Green Prairie Animal Hospital located in Lincoln and San Jose Illinois provided our Frenchie excellent care for two major surgeries. They did her snare and neuter surgery when she was a pup, and recently just before she turned 2 she had swallowed a piece that broke off of one of her chewy bones that got stuck in her small intestine that they removed. From the office staff to the medical staff they are a honest team that provided us great service and care.

We typically are seen at the Sherman IL location & have been dealing with a traumatic injury as my 15 year old Chi broke her Jaw. Dr. Allie was on call & got us right in on a Saturday night to re muzzle my girls broken jaw. They are so kind and compassionate! We love green prairie!!!

I've been going here for years now. I had a cat with leukemia, they had saved his life and gave my family many more years with him until the leukemia took him. He had a very long life because of them saving him. I recently adopted 2 indoor cats and they had a great visit with Dr. George because he and his staff do everything to make your pet/s feel comfortable during their visit! I definitely recommend going here!

Consistently the best vet experience we've had! These guys all clearly care very much about our pets, and do a fantastic job keeping them healthy (even if you have semi-defective dogs like we do ?). We can't recommend them highly enough!

First time art the vet with my rescue dog, Kinja. Very pleased to have found Dr George and the whole staff, who were wonderful. So happy to have found a vet who took such great care of my girl.

I wanted to like this Clinic. I really did. Staff was very nice upon my visit, but afterward, when I sent a polite email about a positioning problem (which I verified with other vets as well as my own mentor) on hip x-rays, I was met with attitude. First three photos are the emails. First hip x-ray is the one Green Prairie did. Second is a nicely positioned X-ray after I had to go to another vet to redo her X-rays. Which meant she had to be sedated twice. First x-ray her stifles aren't even straight, and she's over rotated inward. Second she's positioned nice and straight, which is extremely important for accurate reading when they're sent off to PennHIP or OFA for evaluations. Especially in a dwarf breed like mine. Final photo is a screenshot from the PennHIP training manual showing that everything needs to be aligned and stifles straight, legs parallel, not rotated in and forming convergent lines like they are in the radiograph Green River did. These are $500 tests that are used to decide breeding prospects and whether or not a dog is sound enough to do high impact sports like agility. It's crucial these be positioned well so accurate results can be done. I would have been happy to have a redo with Green Prairie if they had bothered to check and ensure the position was done well instead of taking attitude and insisting that poor positioning is actually "perfect", but instead I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I'll be also be letting my entire breed community and other dwarf dog breed communities know this is not an acceptable vet for dwarf dogs to get hips done at. Giant breed positioning is also very crucial. As is owning up to a problem and doing better. They did give a refund, I'll give them credit for that, but I want any vets I use to do their professional best and to own up to mistakes. If they're not willing to admit they made a mistake here, what else will they not admit to a mistake with? Your pet's life? Even if it was actually a perfect positioned radiograph, Tina needs to work on customer service skills or hand the reply off to someone else, too. I understand it's not easy dealing with an unhappy client. I really do. But telling them "you can go to another vet" and insisting the client is wrong without further discussion is not the way to go.

Not satisfied with them. Won't be back .MY cat is getting worse so I'm going to take him to someone better. Seems like they wanna run up a huge bill on it when I spent $500 already for labs and still nothing that will help him.

The best!! They’re all so helpful and nice. They really care about the animals and it makes it easier spending $$ on dogs when the vet is helpful ?
