I came to the Lynnwood location to drop off bulk mail, something I’ve been doing for many years at various locations. I know the routine and what’s required at each one. However, a newer person in the back seemed determined to do things differently. They told me I needed to pay for something that was already paid and directed me to another area for help—where the staff had no idea what was going on.
Thankfully, I was eventually able to find a supervisor who, along with another supervisor, quickly understood the situation and handled it perfectly. Meanwhile, the original person who sent me on this wild goose chase stood by, telling others I was doing it wrong.
Let’s be clear—I’ve been handling bulk mail professionally for a long time. Nothing significant has changed with this process in all these years. Some people just need to come down off their high horse and stop acting like they’re reinventing the wheel just because they’re newer at this location I am guessing. Or they have been there a long time, and it is just crabby, at everybody. Even at their supervisors.
I always say enjoy life.
AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB, JUST QUIT.

Waited and rang door bell as requested and no one came to help. Very annoying!

I sat in the waiting area and rang the doorbell 10 times and no one came to help, I saw someone and asked them if they could help and they just told me to ring the doorbell again, did this on my 30 cause I thought how hard could it be to get a package that was delivered when I was home but taken back cause I wasn’t there to sign it? Unbelievable. after 30 minutes someone finally came to help me and she was talking to someone on her personal phone the entire time.

Why does every box sent via UPS and handed off to the USPS always get the run around? My package was sent to the correct zip code 60712 facility and yet someone forwarded it to Harwood Heights.

IF YOU WANT TO WORK FOR THE POSTAL SERVICE AND YOU GET ASSIGNED TO THIS STATION GOOD LUCK. the manager will send you too different stations and then LEAVE (not suppose to happen MS MOORE) the “acting manager” Triplett will also break contract constantly. Finally after months they got a real manager and they still don’t do anything important. Nobody at this station in management knows how to do anything they constantly take advantage of their employees and demean them.

I was expecting a package from France. According to the tracking info, it was delivered to my mailbox 8 days prior to my inquiry. Needless to say, it was never delivered. I called the Lincolnwood post office and they kept insisting that their delivery people scan the packages upon delivering them, so since it showed my package had been scanned therefore it had to be delivered. I told them that I hadn't received anything and I asked them politely to double check with the delivery person because mistakes can happen, to which they responded that that would be impossible because that specific delivery person was transferred to a different post office. I opened up a claim and they assured me that somebody would call me within hours. Nobody called me for 2 days. I wanted to go and inquire in person, however they are only open 9-5 during which hours most people are at work themselves and cannot make it there. Fortunately my wife was able to leave work early and she went to the post office personally. After a long search they found the package there. Yet on the phone they guaranteed that the package was delivered and insinuated that it was my fault that it was missing!
Total incompetence!

The late afternoon supervisor at 60712 was not helpful. A time sensitive payment was returned to me undeliverable as addressed. I verified the address with the company and it was correct. The supervisor's solution was for me to repackage it and use new postage. He refused to use a courtesy envelope to mail it for me. His solution to AGAIN inconvenience me is unacceptable. He did not even have the customer service skill to apologize for the Post Office's error. I went to Rogers Park Post Office where they kindly re-mailed the envelope at no charge. And they apologized for the inconvenience. The payment is already late. I hope it gets delivered because the address is legible and correct.

The actual mail carriers who place the mail to each address do a stellar job are very consistent. The sorters however apparently cannot read? Everytime and mean every single one... when I have a package I'm counting on arriving it does this Chicago dance between facilities because some clown in the Lincolnwood branch can't tell the difference between 60712 & 60612. This'll make from the date of purchase to actually making it to my house nearly a 2 week venture?!? I cringe everytime I click buy "complete purchase".

Unfortunately they don't sell postage stamps, this is just a pickup and drop off location.

Mail is not picked up from the box right outside of the Post Office. Mail has been sitting here for a week!

I spend 15 minutes just to look for the entrance door. When I went there, there is no space that I can sit on or I can drop my box, I was looking for anybody to help me take my box but nobody. I have to knock and scream so somebody can hear me and come in and take my box.
