This shop is good if you know exactly what's wrong with your car. Service quality has declined recently but the owner is a good person very nice and professional. I would recommend this shop only if you know exactly what's wrong with your car due to the new guys.

We use V&R for our vehicles and the owner (Rocky) is always so honest and helpful. The entire staff is wonderful, and we have had zero issues with the work preformed on our vehicles.

I was in the area visiting family for the Christmas holiday. Last Sunday, I started the 350 miles drive home and BAM hit a pothole on the freeway at 65 mph. This ruined my tire and rim on the drivers side. I was able to get the donut spare on my tire and drive back to Lisle.
Arrived at my family’s home and started to search for a place that can provide the necessary repairs and get me back on the road. I came across this place which was nearby and read many good reviews.
Next day on early Monday morning, I called V & R, spoke with Rocky and explained what I needed and that I needed to get this repair done today. He asked me to bring in the car and minutes later arrived at the shop. Rocky made the experience very good and less stressful. He was upfront and honest about what I needed and said he could order the parts today and have the car ready in the afternoon.
Sure enough, Rocky called me about six hours later to let me know the car is ready for pickup. This was during the 2:00pm hour. Furthermore, he charged a fair price for parts and labor- it was less than what I thought it would be! Also, he put the donut spare tire back under the truck area and reassembled the platforms of the trunk. Other repair shops I’ve been to never provided this kind of awesome service.
I should add that I called two other places and they told me they could not accommodate me, claiming they don’t have available time slots. Rocky and the team at R & V made the time and got the job done.
The next time I’m in the area and have car trouble, I will come here first. Shoutout to Rocky who has a great personality and attitude and lots of car repair knowledge how. Highly recommend this place!

I've taken our cars to Rocky and the team at V & R for 8+ years at this point. From routine maintenance to bigger jobs, Rocky is upfront regarding costs and turnaround of the work or complications found along the way. Even when a must-do job arises, he is always prepared to offer options on parts or approaches (ex., do x now and y later.)
I will gladly continue coming here for the foreseeable future and make every effort to even purchase simple things so the money goes towards a local business vs. a big box or massive online retailer.

Amazing service. Special shout out to Manny and Rocky. Manny is a super trustworthy guy who does honest work and they charge really fairly there. I won't be taking my car anywhere else from here on out. I have been through the ringer with my car experiences over the past few years so it is nice to have a place to go that will fix everything!

I recently moved to Lisle, and I stopped in Auto Zone asking for their recommendation for the best "mom and pop" owned car repair shop- they said hands down- V & R.
Everyone is so accommodating and friendly!! Most of all they are fair in their pricing ( labor charge) and helpful with the specific issues going on with my car. They even looked up online what warranty my transmission is still under with Subaru. * any other place would have gladly taken my money to fix the issue.
I am so happy to have found a non corporate auto shop to trust with my car, time, and money.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
