My husband and I had an appointment last Friday to have our taxes done. The 1st person helping us seemed unsure of what she was doing and twice I noticed she was entering my husbands information under my name. When she finished, our refund was much lower than I knew it should have been. She tried explaining it away with changes in the child care credits however I doubted this would make over an $8000 difference. They were also completely unsure how to handle an electric car credit. when I said I knew the amount of the refund was incorrect and that I would like our documents back so we could take them elsewhere, another woman stepped in. She was the rudest, most arrogant person I have ever worked with. She stated that she had been doing this for over 20 or 25 years and to let her take a look at it first and rudely stated that she trained the person I worked with previously (WHO WAS FANTASTIC - Totally wondering what happened to Shannon) The “experienced” lady began making changes to what the first girl did and the refund jumped up by $2000. She did something else and it went up by another $2000 at which point she laughed. I had to remind her that at that point her customers found nothing funny about the situation. At one point the first girl came back to see what she had done wrong (as a teacher I’m all for someone being trained) and the older lady sent her away while being very condescending and rude to her as well. After knowing mistakes were made the first time and then seeing radical increases the 2nd time it seems like filing their work with the government would have just been plain stupid on my part. We took our papers and ran. I suggest anyone who had their taxes done with them, have that free double check done. They totally would have let me leave with way less than we deserved, even after I questioned it twice. Seems like using this office is asking to be ripped off or get an audit. We will never come back to this office and will be looking outside of HR Block as well.

STAY FAR AWAY. These “tax professionals” have caused me nothing but trouble, and have been next to zero help. They messed up, have no clue how to fix it leaving me with a huge mess to clean up and pay for, a year later! I’ve given them the opportunity to remedy the issue, with no luck. Do not use them. You will be disappointed.
