“Earlier in 26', was invited to the American Legion for a solid friend's retirement party. We were both career, 597 pipefitters together.
Wow!
This place was awesome! Roughly 100 guest showed up and felt comfortable.
Room for a band, large square bar, very nice. More than enough bar tenders to keep the guest happy. Food was catered with more than enough employees making sure the lunch didn't disappoint.
The bathrooms were clean and apparently monitored to prevent running out of towels and paper.
I was able to meet the Commander of this fine afternoon, Mike Meyers.
I remembered him from the building trades, years ago, good man back then and here's he making sure some 100 people are enjoying themselves on a Saturday afternoon.
Well done Mike for working hard to produce a successful Retirement Party for Bill. All your employees/ servers were very nice and helpful.
Happy was able to spend a few minutes with you.
Definitely would recommend your place for any event. 👍”

The offer great quality items and they have added new sections for more items it could use a bit more tidying up and organization but their service volunteers and workers are friendly and they take funiture donations on gently used or new items and provide a receipt for your tax filing records and purposes”

“Shady Oaks Camp has given people with disabilities a summer of great fun and memories for over 70 years. My parents were members of the Parents Association for many years, my dad was on the board ( I use to go to meeting with him ) . My dad did printing for the camp & association. My brother attended the camp for over 15 years. He enjoyed being at camp and being by his many friends. My brother was also a resident of the permanent home located by the camp. Shady Oaks gives people with disabilities a chance to experience summer fun. Shady Oaks camp was a blessing to our family years ago, and it continues to be a blessing to others.”

“Do you know where your food comes from? What a cool experience to see and be part of your local community! Always a wide variety of produce - and the 'u-pick' opportunities are awesome (especially for the little ones). The opportunity to interact and support with other local vendors is an added bonus that we love. If you haven't seen the good things happening at Green Earth Harvest/McDonald Farm/TCF - you're missing out!”

“I would love to commend the work that is being done here at CCR&R. Especially the management and Directors/ Executive Director’s/ office staff. I was going through a bit of a hardship and scrambling for an approval for childcare and the Assistant Director by the name of Georgia went above and beyond to provide me with exceptional customer service and client satisfaction with my case. The effort and understanding from her behalf was much appreciated today! I am a greatful client of CCR&R and happy I can keep my job and my kids are happy being able to stay in daycare and attend summer camp thanks to their hard work today.”

“We had THE best experience with this location. We were here for the pediatric team evaluation for medical and autism diagnosis. Our providers were :Stephanie RKatie SKarrie RMichele PKeri JJessica CMy son loved them all! && the wait time for appointments were all in the ten - fifteen minute time frame of start time. Parking is hit or miss but they do have a lot in front of the location it’s marked with red fences. But if you pull Into the lot for main area in the back there is special parking for people going through the evaluation marked as “client family parking” the lobby is huge with toys and books and usually animal planet on the tv. Front desk has been super nice every time I’ve gone. The doors are automatic opening so this is the only down side as my son obsesses with the mechanics of sliding doors and so for me there is no sit time in the lobby because the parking street entrance if two feet from the open door and my son is a runner ! But if I got give this place ten stars I would.Thank you everyone and we hope to see ya for summer activities ?”

“The supervisor Mr. Andrew he is so awesome. I really appreciate him being the manager, because when you over 65 you need time and patience. I’m just a grandmother of 13 grandkids. I come here
In Plainfield all the time. I buy there clothes to wear for school.and he helps me tell me where everything at,. I appreciate Andrew the supervisor. this morning I was there at 9 o’clock and he was so helpful Lord I thank you. I got in line and realized I didn’t have my credit card. He hold my stuff until I went home and got my credit card and came back to pay for it.. And I really appreciate that because this store is crowded. Somebody would’ve bought my grandkids stuff that I have picked out already..
Thank you, Goodwill for having such a great manager, Andrew.”
