Wal-mart, Wal-mart.....I really spend alot of $$$ in the stores & on-line. This used to be just 1 of my favorite locations...I live in Chicago but would come here just to get away & there used to be many great clearance deals & always a nice staff. But this past Wed. I had a bad experience & I am not going to shop here for a long time if ever again. My Husband Gerry & I celebrating our 48th Wedding Anniversary. We often come to Lockport to shop just to get away & do something different. The store used to be very good but since they so called fixed it up & changed it, every time I do shop there it's worse. Now the isles are so tight that I can barely get around with my cart looking in the junior & women's dept. It's the same pain when looking in the health & beauty section as well. If a few people are there it is very congested. Before the rehab the clearance sections had alot of reduced items & I could take a look without a problem. Now the clearance sections are so tight & mixed with plus sizes etc. I have to move things just to get to something. Also it is May & there are winter items still there! not much of a clearance either! Many regular items are so high priced that no one buys them. A non-leather purse for $24.98? Oh please! Give me a break. So no one buys the purses & then I found some for $9 & even $3. That tells you they are over pricing items. Also I know it is Spring then summer is coming. But all you can offer is jean jackets or some flimsy cover up? At l least have some lightweight jackets What really will keep me away is the awful service I had at the self checkout! I am usually a expert at that & never need help. This time I had a gift card. I seen the format was changed when I was scanning my items. Different from what it used to be. Everyone was confused! Anyway I had to ask for help. 1 man told me to ask someone else. I did & the lady was older. Before you jump on me I am 66. But this lady needs to retire or just become a Wal-Mart greeter! Anytime I see her there she is ok but never friendly. This time I had to ask her for help as something was not going through. Keep in mind my sight is not the best. Well, she acted as if It was such a pain in the butt to help me! She was not busy. I told her the card would not go through & she had a bad attitude about that! I guess she had to take a pee or something? I was going to complain to a manager but it was getting late in the day & I wanted to avoid too much traffic. I did ask a very nice young Hindu lady for help & she is always very sweet & made sure the problem was taken care of. I will not go back for a very long time if ever. If that older woman finds working there is such a pain please retire. She may need to work but become a greeter then or work someplace else. Don't take your problems out on other customers lady! To me the store was much better before they changed it around. I can find lower prices on-line or at other stores such as Ross etc. Thanks for reading my very long review.

Place is one Marianos opening close by to going belly up. Grocery is about all that is operating. Garden department not staffed, inventory levels in housewares and automotive are low. Went in today. Garden dept had 500 fern hanging plants sitting in a dark corner dying rapidly. Priced at 15 bucks each. That is a lot of inventory to kill off. Lockport council should start looking for next corporate partner in this space. Nice big abandoned box coming soon right by the high school.

Sad to see this place go down hill, worked here 3 years ago as customer service / cashier. Went to cash a company check and was told they couldnt do it because it had a po box address.. again this is a company check. Train your employees better or let them go for christ sake, espically at the service desk.

Always rude but be cautious of prices. Items scan for much higher cost than marked on the shelf. I tried pointing this out to an employee but they walked away while I was talking. Worst service ever.

NO! Walmart in Lockport, IL -- do not order online. I've never had a problem until my driver , Jazmin, STOLE my groceries. She had the nerve to go to the store pick them up and drive by my house then take them to another location and took a photo and left with them. My contact info is listed she takes them to a location .7 miles away (I find out from Walmart online chat that's where Jazmin left my groceries.) so I of course go there it's not far and it's an Oil Refinery entrance gate. I see the security guard and he laughs at me, then decides to look at footage and Jazmin never made it there at 8:37pm. HOW could Walmart hire a company who has people like Jazmin that could STEAL someone's groceries... on purpose. At any point in time jazmin could have contacted me to say she were lost. But here we are.... Here's the photo Jazmin took, enough to not show where they were Left.

Takes alot for me to give 5 stars.. But quality and ease of use kiosk is MUCH nicer and easier to use then most stores. Amazing quality for the price I feel as well
