Mike Darby- Forged my signature on a warranty claim, Quoted a replacement part at $500… A pretend imaginary part.“your cars wiring is a mess underneath; you need a $500 module to fix it"Absolute whopper made up lie.I brought the car to 3D car care for a clutch replacement. Once finished, I picked up the car and immediately noticed there is no speedometer. I also noticed the oil filter hadn’t been changed….and I paid for an oil change.So I brought the car back, after talking to Mike Darby on the phone about the speedometer. I said it’s probably just a plug your tech forgot to connect…”just take a look at it”They had the car for 11 days. When I came back in I was told it:“your cars wiring is a mess underneath; you need a $500 module to fix it"This was an Absolute whopper lie.A few months later Before driving south to my winter home, I changed the oil and visually inspected the car myself.I noticed a loose plug dangling by the axle...I felt around a bit more...and whatdoyaknow! another Loose plug!....CLICK!My speedometer works just fine! ...no $500 computer module.There’s more:Mike Darby took it upon himself to: FORGE MY SIGNATURE on the service work order!!! (3RD party warranty claim).Yes, MIkE Darby Straight up made a scribbled a cursive version of my name on the invoice and really thought he could sucker me over by lying to me.Im sad for the people of Lombard. id like to believe that a business having been around a while is doing something right. This is not the case.

Jason and the entire shop never disappoints. It feels good to be serviced by good honest genuine people. They cared about me so they cared about my vehicle! I recommend 3D for any of your car repairs or needs. You just don't find too many gems like 3D. It was a pleasure working with Jason. Thank you 3D!

I've been to this shop several times in the past couple of years and I'm glad I did. These guys are consummate professionals, give fair estimates and high quality service. They assessed the problem with my truck, gave me an estimate and made the necessary repair in under two hours. Did I mention that I didn't have an appointment ? I have used 3D Complete for years and did not think they would lead me astray. As of late they had my car for 2 weeks. Within this two week time I attempted to pick up my car twice. The first time I was told my capless gas tank's flap was the issue. They lubricated it and one day after pick up my engine light was back on throwing the same code. This time I was told I needed an entire new gas valve and neck. On their recommendation this was changed with a $570 price tag. I picked it up didn't even make it onto the street out of the lot and the engine light came on again throwing the same code. I did some research and learned there are 5 total things that could throw this code to which I asked if all were checked and THEN told no but they would need $420 more dollars since they felt it was the sensor that was likely causing the code and sensor light to go on and they only have one person there that specializes in this code issue. With this response I was really frustrated and very skeptical since I had already spent $570 that likely did not have to be spent since the sensor wasn't checked prior to the neck and valve replacement, and it was only then that I was informed ONLY ONE person there could address this specific issue. Why wasn't I told this up front?? I refused this new recommendation and went to pick up my car feeling mislead. I asked for the original neck/valve and at first they refused to give it to me until they called the owner because I refused to leave without it since it was MY part. I took the car from there to another garage. Within a half hour of being at that garage it was identified that the original neck/valve part was not faulty at all AND the sensor wasn't faulty at all but rather it was disconnected and the sensor was not faulty, did not need to be replaced and did not need to cost an additional $420. It was reconnected and I was back in business. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in 3D's assessment of my car, the two week time I was without my car for no reason, the manager screaming at me when I questioned the assessment and asked for the part, and finally the UNNECESSARY $570 part and charge. I WILL NOT return here. So very very disappointed!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR! THE MANAGER IS RACIST- he mixed up our car with another persons car at checkout and gave me someone else's keys and never did the work on our car. I ended up having to wait 2 more hours after waiting 4 hours initially because they were inspecting the wrong parts on my car thinking it was someone else's car. When I expressed my frustration in a professional manner, the owner said "I know how you people are and I don't want any trouble". He then GOT DOWN ON HIS KNEES behind the register like "what more do you want me to do?!" He was erratic and clearly visibly angry. My partner and I hurried and paid him just so we could leave because we feared for our safety once he threatened to call the police on us after HE began to be aggressive (clearly knowing that calling the police on a black person can be fatal for them). He started pacing around us and said "I need to go step away to cool off" even though we were the ones who should've been frustrated by the managers mistake. I have never experienced something so unprofessional and alarming. I will be escalating this further. Most of the positive reviews for this shop come from white people & that's what drew me in but clearly there is a separate experience for Black people.

These folks are the best. Honest, hard working, my brother recommended them cause his friend recommended them, and I'm from out of town, and they understood and have helped me out quickly. I trust these guys. They're good. If you want honest genuine good work, these are your guys. And as an aside, there's plenty of tables and chairs for working from the shop while you wait, and free wifi and coffee... I went here for my rack and pinion and power steering pump. Over all the price was good compared to other shops. When I got my car back home I noticed a squeaking in the belt and a light metallic tap. Looked like my tensioner was hitting the alternator and the pulleys had power steering fluid on them. Called them back and they said they usually replace the belt on services related to the belt driven accessories, why they didn’t do it I don’t know but come in by but you will need to pay. Ended up doing it my self instead but then the squeak came back so I replaced again but I did notice something on the bottom by my rack and pinion. The line was not connected all the way. Long story short it got in my alternator and before I knew it that was the culprit. Easy fix but still should’ve been included with the service. Alignment is still off from them and the steering seems some what stiff still even knowing I have all new steering components basically. They did get it done quick but now I need a new tire due to the alignment being off.Services: Steering & suspension repair

I haven't been in a while but they were prompt, honest and professional. I met the owner who worked there before he became the owner and he is a honest and hard working man. Kudos to you carrying the tor h of the previous owner as well as creating a legacy for you and yours.
