Listen to the reviews. This place is terrible. I made a reservation over a month ago. Scheduled a truck picked up 9/21/22 for 12:30. I received a call at 830am on 9/21/22 with a voicemail telling me they didn’t have a truck for me and to call them back. I had to call 10 times before someone answered the phone. I asked what they were going to do to help me find a truck in the area from another Budget Truck in the area. I was told to call customer service then got hung up on.

First negative review I’ve ever left- by far the worst customer service I’ve ever seen, and they literally don’t have trucks after you “reserved” them online

DO NOT RENT A MOVING TRUCK FROM THIS LOCATION!!!Booked my reservation on the Budget site a day before. Got here and the guy who works here says they have no trucks. It’s a Sunday and I’m helping a family move and now I’m trying to find a truck somewhere else, which is very hard to do on a Sunday.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made a truck reservation over a month in advance for a truck so I could move out of state. I made flight reservations that hinged on this so that I could make my brothers graduation and still move. Over a month in advance. 3 days before my reservation- the day before I fly out for my brothers graduation I get a call saying that they will be closed the day I'm supposed to pick up the truck. I have no idea what to do at this point and the "owner" basically said "sucks to be you". I'm now out $680 with no truck and no way of getting one. DO NOT USE BUDGET OR THIS LOCATION.

The worst car rental experience ever for me. They actually rented me a severely marijuana scented vehicle for my family vacation and handed me a can of air freshener. After spending many hours on the phone to their 1-800 number I was offered to exchange the vehicle at another location but no other location admitted to having any vehicles available to me that would accommodate the size of the vehicle I was currently renting. I was then also promised by the corporate customer service that I would be receiving a refund within five business days and upon return of this vehicle I finally had a person who spoke English tell me that they were willing to give me $50 off of my total rental. Don't waste your time here I never knew how awful tenting a car could be. I've only rented a ton of them throughout my lifetime. Stay away from Budget and especially this Lombard location!

Service is ok but promised email of receipt never happened. Have called twice and emailed customer service twice to no avail. Can't get corporate card reimbursed without it. Help!!!!

On rental return during business hours, there was nobody there. I was hesitant to leave my key in a rusty old key drop, not sure if it was being used. I waited and kept trying to get somewhere with calling Budget, both the local # and the forward to the national #, but finally someone showed up. In the frustration process, I forgot about my jackets in the back of the car. I have tried the local # 22 times over the past week and never get a local person to pick up. I have tried a lost claim by phone and now they claim my reference # doesn't exist and I can't get a live person it seems anywhere. Terrible, terrible customer service all around by Budget/Avis.

I made my reservation a week ago at their Glen Ellyn location for a 16ft truck. I got a voicemail the day before my move day (less than 24 hours notice) saying that they had no trucks available. The voicemail said that I could switch my reservation to a 12ft truck at their Lombard location. He said that I would have to call him by 1 p.m. to let him know. Unfortunately, I didn't hear the voice mail until 1:15pm so when I tried calling no one answered.I went online to change my reservation to Lombard location. I then tried calling the Lombard location to confirm and got no answer. So I tried calling again and was forwarded to their national hotline. I don't know if the person on the other end was on something, but talking to them was bizarre. They kept asking me the same questions I had already answered, and not even respond to what I had just said. They finally said they would have their manager call me to help find another reservation.Right off the bat the manager had an attitude when he called me. He said I could go pick up a truck near O'hare, and I said that was really far to drive when I was paying by the mile. My original reservation was much closer. He said I could go make a reservation with Penske or Uhaul. TERRIBLE customer service. They could care less that I'm left without a way to move everything now.

This company will put profits over your safety. They gave us a truck which clearly had alignment issues to the point where you had to turn the wheel 90 degrees to drive straight. Would only listen to us when halfway through our trip we had to stop at Goodyear out of fear of the tire blowing out from uneven wear. They had another truck that they could have given us but it was "Under Maintenance" which by that they meant an oil change and was still drivable compared to the truck they gave us.Edit: Realized the their Truck and Car Rentals are shown as 2 separate companies on Google Maps. This is the definition of misleading, allowing bad reviews get hidden under the good reviews.

I reserved a 16’ truck from this location. It was there on time and the price was as advertised. No complaints. The experience was a good one.

Watch out this place it's a scam, I should have read the reviews. I called for a truck rental and they gave me a price it sounded good then like most places now days they took my card for the reservation. I showed up 15 minutes early when they got to me he gave me a price twice as much as was the price on the phone so I went next store to U haul, they gave me a way better deal. Then two days later Budget charges me 75 dollars for a no show. I showed up you people lied and tried to steel my money. You just lost a costumer for life. You are gypsies. Your hole company.

AVOID THIS PLACE, they tell me my truck is ready to be picked up at 2pm (I'm coming from Chicago) and I get there and there is no truck. I even called ahead of time to reassure it would be ready at two. Then, they sent me to a Naperville location to pick up the truck, and I get there and there is still no truck. I got aggravated, and just cancelled the rental. The guy in costumer service department said they would not charge me anything on the card because it wasn't my fault. Today I check my bank statement and I see they charged me a $50 “no show†fee
