I have called Feral Fixers twice this year, both times to be blown off. I will NEVER be recommending this organization to anyone, for rescue, adoption or for donating their time or money. STOP COMMITTING TO TAKING IN ANIMALS IF YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO BLOW PEOPLE OFF!!!!
The first time I called (earlier this summer) I was told someone would call me in a week to arrange trapping. No one did, so I called back only to be YELLED AT for trying to capture a kitten myself. I was told someone would get back to me. So I waited, and didn't reach out to any other organizations because Feral fixers said they were coming out. No one ever called me or helped me after that. The kittens grew, and then disappeared overnight while I was waiting.
Now, in NOVEMBER I have ANOTHER litter of kittens, by the same cat but with a baby from the first litter. Great.... I called Feral Fixers again. They committed to getting me in touch with a volunteer. Now, the day before they are supposed to come, Tammy has apparently decided she is no longer interested in taking these kittens, and pawned off the crappy job of telling me she was backing out TO A VOLUNTEER. I'm now being told that I should just put these kittens, less than a month old, back out on the streets. In November... in Chicago...
I was referred here by a friend of a volunteer. I would NOT RECOMMEND working with or relying on this organization to help you. If they say they will, be prepared for them to 100% back out, and have an alternate plan in place.
As I told Tammy on the phone earlier this week, I couldn't care less how the organization treats ME.... I just don't want to see animals unnecessarily suffer due to breeding, or in these kittens cases, freeze to death.
On BOTH OCCASIONS, had Feral fixers just honestly communicated with me, I would have looked into other options. Now I have two kittens in my basement with no place to go other back onto the street in November... because Feral fixers can't keep their committments or communicate effectively.

they are not an adoption service, they will not even help rehoming. don't get me started on follow through on anything. this is not the service you want to help you - they don't. everyone that suggests them, i tell them how horrible my experience has been.

This is a fabulous cat TNR organization. Absolutely the best cat people in DuPage County.

A very morally driven place with people who have the biggest hearts! There's nothing they won't do to help these kitties out. Bless these folks!

Visited during adoption event. They love cats and always need adopters and fosters. Very protective of the cats almost to a fault.

Feral Fixers does such a great service for the DuPage County community. They help spay and neuter as many cats as they can. And they will put up kittens and as many adoptable cats as possible.
Check them out on Facebook. If you are looking to adopt a kitty, they have lots of pictures. They also have open houses to meet adorable kitties.
They are also looking for volunteers if you have time to spare.

Can you please give April her cat back? Why do you refuse as a business to give a clear explanation of what you did with someones cat? Where did she end up? How can you continue to block her and ignore all her calls and call the cops on her when she comes to ask where she is? You cannot and will not do this. Give April her cat back!

This organization is doing an amazing part of keeping our wildlife in balance. They always have kittens for adoption and make sure the ferals are taken care of so they don’t make more. Adopt don’t shop!

Good people dedicated to their work. I attended a workshop at their facility and saw the compassion they have for homeless kitties and willingness to do their best for them. Please don't overlook their donation wishlist.

This place helps control the overpopulation of cats in Dupage county which prevents a lot of suffering for animals and people. They have helped me with cats people have abandoned in my neighborhood. The people who work here are dedicated volunteers. I give what I can to help. As of this day they need donations of cat kibble and canned cat food.

Feral Fixers is an incredible organization that helped me “employ” two incredible cats at our home in Villa Park. They not only keep the rodents at bay, but they bring so much joy to us as my fiancé is allergic and cannot have cats inside. I love watching them hunt and play in the yard. Laura and her team are amazing and unbelievably knowledgeable. Highly recommend for not only feral cats (who come with a full bill of health and neutered/spayed) to indoor kitties as well. Thank you so much for bringing Sock and Puppet into our lives!
