I LOVE THIS SHOP! My car had quite a bit of damage from a small accident that happened just 3 days after severe vandalism to my car. The cost was upwards of $6,000. They handled all the insurance processing and returned my car to me pristine...including the interior which was at best a very difficult vacuum job due to my many sailboat items in the vehicle. The quality of work is truly wonderful. I highly recommend this shop.

My insurance gave me a choice to work with Lombard Body & Fender or Gerber Collision. After reading terrible reviews for Gerber, I picked Lombard Body. They were amazing to work with (Erin & Dave were very responsive), they completed the repairs on time, and everything looked great. Hopefully I will NEVER need their services again, but I would definitely recommend this shop!Services: Painting

Sadly I had to send a 'demand letter' to avoid court. They did resolve and send a check. They did make it as difficult as possible. I should have removed the car from their property after they didn't touch it for 100 days. With COVID-19 and getting excuses every 4 months, that's how this turned into a saga lasting 1.5 years. Never let a place have your car for over 100 days, esp. when you give them the new parts. The work itself was 2/5 in the end. To top this off the Cadillac Club's national meet was in Lombard this year. Gigantic opportunity to sell missed.End of short story. Here is the long story if interested.· Non-collision job on a 78 GM. We had agreed on the cost before. I was plainly told the same make and model would cost 600-800 with the bumpers on, or 800-1000 with removing the bumpers. We agreed on the 1000 cost. In the end this has turned into a bait and switch. I never agreed, never signed to $2200· The direct result of the severe delinquency has resulted in me being charged $1500 in a surcharge. The shop took advantage of my patience, the shop had the car for 16 months, not including the 2 months I asked to hold prior to resolve the bait and switch cost discrepancy. · I supplied the part set with the car, no supply chain excuse possible. Straightforward job, not collision, just remove and replace.· Shop used every excuse possible, supply chain/busy/employees/busy/didn't forget/COVID/busy· I only get calls about every 4 months, each time I am never told that they will not stick to the agreed cost, had 4/5 chances. Without authorization shop decides this is an open-cost job· Tried to resolve 3x· I thought there could be a mistake, asked for the receipt, I got something that looks like it belongs on a napkin with no mention of the parts. Month passes· Ask for the part set receipt, no receipt given at all. The part set cost could explain the difference in total. Month passes· Ask for itemized receipt, get a wild bill. Shop charges 34 hours, almost a week for this job. Yet they had the car for 16 months. Month passes· Explained in person, I paid for the extensions, the original quote, what we talked about, and that he said he did this on the same car.· Told the shop they can get it done in 2 weeks and charge a premium, but the shop cannot have a car on the property from 2021, until 2023 and 2.2x the charge· They have done this before on the same car, his explanation of no database of repair estimate b/c of age only comes up after the job is done. Invalid answer· I never signed anything agreeing to $2200 (Total now rockets to $3100)· Took pictures of the work while the car was on the lot after the car was done and paid. Paint off of extensions, trim wrinkled, trim cut sloppily, gaps not close, metal sloppily installed, paint on car cover. This is a complete lost cause.· I waste effort for a month trying to get other places to give their prices. Independently, 3 other shops gave me their prices and the average were $800 lower. After the shop breaks the agreement, I thought just to end this 18 month of being disregarded and incompetence. Offer cash, he refuses, last resort I add 100. Refused cash again. Only arrogant response is "price is the price," and "I already paid the guys." So, what. This deal is over.· The day I paid I was arrogantly told "It's a gift at that price," and that "I'm going to charge a daily storage fee." No point in responding, nothing is a surprise at this point. Pay through card and leave. Thought this is finally over, a mistake.· Did not tell me, blocked the transporter, and reversed a charge 2 weeks prior. Forced to pay cash, they wanted to stop the credit card company to act as an arbitrator cause the shop knows it is wrong. · Just as magically as the shop makes up the prices, the shop suddenly goes down $200 for "cash discount." Since price was supposed to be $1000, I never heard of a 'negative discount' of +$1000.· Before taking possession of car, pics taken.Saddest part is when I had to

Had to have my rear bumper replaced due to an small accident. We checked to make sure our insurance worked with them and I'm glad they do. They replaced the bumper and matched the painting so you can't even tell that it is a new one. They kept us informed when it wasn't completed in the give time frame and the reasons why. Upon completion of the job, they cleaned the car both inside and out. What a nice surprise. Fantastic customer service.

Was recommended by family friends. Super affordable & they're realistic about what you're dealing with & how you want to fix it. They were more than $1000 less expensive than the Gerber Collision & Glass I went to & fixed the problem perfectly. Explained everything to me & very friendly.

2020 ford transit 250 they hit me in the back, I took it to Lombard Body & Fender Inc, they did an excellent job, they washed my truck, cleaned inside and left me a little bottle with touch-up paint. It was excellent 5 star service.

We have worked with this shop on more than one occasion, and always been impressed with their performance. Even after driving the car home, it's always impressive how they clean the inside of the car!

Second to none. Helpful from day one, and the best of it all, we're able to fix small blemishes and did not even charge me. Can't get better customer service than this. As a result, I'll look to no other body shop. They'll always get my business and recommendations to others.

The absolute best experience I’ve had! Dave is awesome, he is extremely friendly and helpful. I dropped my car off in the morning to get the door replaced and it was done the next day! When I picked my car up it was completely detailed and cleaned, I’m so impressed with their timeliness and service. 100% recommend!Service: Body & Trim
