DO NOT SHOP HERE - YOUR DELIVERY WILL NOT BE WHAT IS PROMISED. We shopped and purchased thousands of dollars of furniture on 2/10. Almost 2 months later and we have received 1/3 of the furniture ordered. The first delay in delivery was 2.5 weeks after the shipment date provided in store, so we did not complain. However, now The Room Place is telling us that most of the furniture will not be in stock or delivered until JUNE. They are selling customers merchandise and being PAID FOR THIS without fulfilling orders. Customer Care gives you NO OPTIONS - their response is "come pick something else out that is in stock". This is fraudulent behavior and we will be reporting them.

I bought a brand new sectional from this location. The quality of the fabric is terrible. I tried so hard to take care of it. I did notice the fabric pilling the second day after it was delivered. I contacted costumer service but after reading the return policy i decided to keep the couch and deal with the loss. They say you have a certain amount of days to return but they charge a return fee, restocking fee, you lose the delivery fee, and a few other fees that I can't remember. I bought a couch from bobs furniture and it held up so much better than this couch. When I was purchasing this sectional they tried pushing me to finance the sectional and if you want insurance on the sectional they charge you per piece. I'm not sure if other furniture stores do this for sectionals but I thought it was ridiculous. I bought this couch around august/sept 2023.

Unfortunately I have to come back to edit this review. The purchase process was good but the delivery was postponed not once but now twice. We purchased from this store several items and now we will no longer go back. The follow up is horrible, the customer service after the purchase was unacceptable. No accommodation to help resolve this issue. No one was upfront with us when we would receive our furniture. We had to call to ask to be told it would be delayed for a third time. We now have to start the process over. It’s unfortunate and very disappointing that we have to do so because we should have been told from the very start about such a long wait time. Being a return customer over the many years you would think the loyalty would be recognized but in this case it was not and that’s why I had to make such a review. It’s not fair as a customer paying full price for a product and to receive such service and treated as if we do not matter.

It is impossible to get a hold of someone at this location. Once you make a purchase, they no longer care about helping you out regarding your purchase. My dad came in on 12/31/23 to purchase a sofa. He was told that he could pick up the sofa from the Romeoville warehouse on 02/01/24. My dad asked if he was able to buy the floor model and he was told no because it was the only model for that sofa. On 01/08/24, my dad received a call from our salesperson (Baher Abdelnour), and was told that it was his “lucky day” and could pick up the floor model whenever he was available. He made this change without asking and our order for the new sofa was cancelled. If we paid for the new sofa, why would they think it’s acceptable to cancel the order and just give us the used floor model. I have been trying to get a hold of someone at this location, any number you call takes you to their customer service and you have to get transferred to the specific location you need to get a hold of. I have been trying for several days and all I get are excuses for why someone can’t pick up, but of course, they are always available when you want to make a purchase.

Great service and helpful advice. Mr. Sadiq was extremely patient and walked me and my husband through all the details, which was really nice since we’re first time homeowners. Would definitely recommend visiting and seeing the updated collection!

I was unnecessarily worried about a purchase thinking I was going to go through a lot a red tape but to my surprise, this company went above and beyond what customers service is supposed to do. My problem was solved within 24 hours. Buy you furniture and accessories here.

Buyers beware, I bought a clearance dresser which I took pictures as per the advice of the sales person of The RoomPlace. It was clearance but no scratches on top of the dresser. We noticed the scratches after the delivery people left. We contacted the customer service team but nothing happened. We spend $4,200 , I feel that I was taken advantage. They made so much money on me , the room place company don't care after they got my business. It's only money, but I will do my best to tell all my relatives and friends not to patronize The Roomplace ! I was charged $450 for the delivery, it's not free but still my furniture was damaged. Tanya Ameti was the furniture expert who sold us the furniture. I'm so glad I took pictures of before ( meaning when we were in the store) pictures don't lie. Tomasa Landay 洪里沓

My representative at the Room Place Lombard, IL, is David. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for any piece of furniture to visit his store and ask for him! He solved an extremely complex issue with my purchase, all the while being very professional, polite and efficient! He really deserves a promotion for how he was able to solve my issue! Thank you David!!!!!

I am a return customer to the Lombard location. I’ve had a helpful sales people in the past, found good quality furniture, and for a reasonable price. I stopped in yesterday to have a look around as it’s been a while since I’ve been and I was interested to see what new items might have been placed in the clearance section. Tanya was a wonderful sales person, was very helpful in answering any questions, making it a convenient process for me, offering her card, and any follow up I needed.I returned the next day to look at a couple pieces I had seen. I was a greeted politely upon entry by a salesman, which is pretty typical but also nice to see a welcoming smile. I wanted to go look at the pieces I was possibly interested in again, and was not ready for any sales person. Once ready, I was able to locate Tanya whom I worked with the day before. I was appalled at how her manager called her over in front of me, basically told her that the salesman that greeted me at the door should be the one to help me. While, I’m all for fairness and making sure that everyone has a fair chance a commission, he was not the one I worked with the day before and I specifically sought out Tanya. I overheard the manager tell Tanya to give the other salesman half her commission. I’m sorry, but all he did was say hi to me at the door. This was not very professional for a store manager to handle a situation like this in this way, especially in earshot of a customer.Tanya was very helpful and polite, and still managed to finish the sale with me in a professional manner, making sure that I was pleased with my experience, as well as had all my questions answered. She took me to the register where Jessica greeted me with a smile, and was very pleasurable, polite, and professional.I would’ve given a rating of five stars, however, the way the manager treated his employees was distasteful.
