“I was told that if I wrote a review, I’d receive a pair of earrings. I was initially happy to do it, but then I overheard what sounded like the owner on the phone rudely asking, “is that woman still standing?” while Ramya responded, “yes, yes, she is buying,” and I felt like I was being watched on camera. That made me uncomfortable, so I declined the earrings and even considered deleting this review.
I also didn’t appreciate the $25 fee just to try on a dress if you don’t end up purchasing it. I had every intention of buying, but that policy almost made me walk away. Since I was only visiting Chicago for a few hours and had already taken an Uber to get there, I ended up making a purchase anyway and paid $430, even though I didn’t really have the time to keep looking around. The fee of 25$ for trying on a dress was anything I have ever heard like .the owner asking rudely on phone .
That said, Ramya herself was very kind and sweet, and I appreciated her attitude. However, because of the overall experience, I don’t think I’ll return or recommend this place to my friends.”
“I needed an outfit for a wedding within 24 hours since my online order was held up in customs due to the new tariff nonsense and I found Amitha fashions on Thursday for a Friday afternoon wedding. They have such a great selection of clothes and the staff and owner was so sweet and so helpful. Such a great experience, reasonable prices and the quick turnaround with the tailoring was great for me to show up to the wedding with clothes on :)

“Know the owner since she and her mom first opened in Buffalo Grove in the 80's. The food is excellent and the vegetables so crisp and fresh. My favorite is the Ginger Chicken. The soup is very good but if you don't want cilantro just ask to leave it off. They are very good about adjusting an order to your preference, like light salt or no salt. Lunch prices”
