A simple experience but a great one. I stopped into another grocery store and grabbed egg salad from the deli counter. The list of ingredients was long and one of the first ingredients in the dressing for the egg salad was "high fructose corn syrup". Why is there sugar added to egg salad? Therefore, I dropped the offending egg salad in a cooler and left that store. I knew I would be passing Sunset Foods on my way to my destination and stopped in, went to the deli and grabbed egg salad. It was simple and clean with just 4 ingredients... Eggs, Hellmann's mayonnaise, sea salt and pepper. That's what I expect in egg salad! That's why Sunset Foods is a good grocery store.

I was accused of stealing the groceries. I had two seperate orders: my personal and the instacart batch. I sent my kids to find my ID to purchase alcohol being sold in the store. They couldn't find my ID so l left my items with the cashier. I was asked by the bagger if I paid and I said yes. I had already walked to my car and was caught off guard getting yelled by Lisa (manager) asking me out loud embarrassingly " Ma'am, did you pay for those” across from the parking lot. Not only did I provide a receipt but I made it known I was doing Instacart to the cashier and manager. She embarrassed me and continued to watch me as I proceeded to put away my groceries. I was in tears and embarrassed I will never return to this store especially knowing that with just a google review, this has happened to others as well.

We really love this store and the incredible attention from the staff, however, I tried to buy fresh strawberries at this sunset, but all packages were in poor condition, and i really find organic strawberries are nothing cheap, so to get a decent package, I combined the good strawberries from two different packages. However, a lady with a very rude attitude approached me and said I couldn't do that and that now she would have to throw away all the strawberries, including the ones I had selected. I always see other customers doing this in this specific store, and if the store don't want it to happen, they should sell better quality strawberries. No one wants to pay for poor quality!

I absolutely love this grocery store. The Deli has a vast variety of in-store prepared dishes that are absolutely scrumptious. May I suggest the Cancun chicken salad? The downfall about this store is the prices. Limited choices for everyday pantry needs, but a decent wine section and cut to order butcher.
