No need to look any further... Monica is awesome!Whenever someone came to the door my 3 yr old very protective anatolian sheperd would charge the door barking like she wanted to kill.After 4 weeks with monica she came home a different girl. Monica taught her that she didnt need to be so protective and she also taught me how to be more assertive so holly would know i didnt need protecting.Now when the doorbell rings she might bark once or twice but i can send her to her bed and she will stay till i tell her she can get off.No shock collars just positive reinforcement!She also tweaked her other basic commands.

Monica did an awesome job showing my adoptive Frenchie manners. He consistently sits in his bed regardless of distractions, sits, walks, comes in command and goes down. She also takes the time to show you how to continue the training and how to enforce the new wanted behaviors.

Monica at the Fine Canine School did not disappoint as she worked with our new rescue, Daniel, to teach him who is boss while at the same time showing him love. Daniel is a 2 year old headstrong, determined, intelligent Husky, Akita and genuine mutt mix. Found living under a bridge on the highway, he came to us with a huge amount of separation anxiety and lack of any good dog manners. Daniel attended the 28 day training program and Monica proved what an expert she is in dog behavior. He was not easy to work with and Monica never gave up. She has a unique understanding of dogs and the patience and skills to work with a difficult student. I also appreciated how often she communicated with me about his progress. Daniel came home healthy and happy knowing how to follow commands and aware of the rules. He also has made good progress in accepting the crate as a safe space for him. Additionally, I have learned from Monica how to continue to reinforce the training at home. She offered invaluable advice and insight about my dog'sbehavior and answered all of my questions and addressed my many concerns in a professional and sincere manner. In fact, she spent an incredible amount of time with me discussing Daniel's training. An added plus is that I now have a place to board Daniel when I travel - a place Daniel is happy to return to and a place I am confident is giving him the best of care. I am so glad I found Monica and highly recommend her and The Fine Canine School to anyone looking for expert training .

Monica, our exceptional dog trainer, has truly transformed our lives. When we rescued Leo as a puppy—part beagle, part Australian Shepherd—we were faced with numerous challenges. However, working with Monica has been a game-changer.Leo was incredibly sweet and very smart. However, he was still a puppy, and his behavior was difficult for our busy family. He would bark incessantly in his crate, especially at night, struggle with crate training, nip at the kids, and walks were a battle as he aggressively pulled on the leash, following his beagle instincts to follow all the smells. Monica's expertise and dedicated team worked wonders with Leo. Thanks to her and her team, Leo is now crate trained, responds well to commands with treats, commands such as sitting, lying down, staying, and even performing other cute tricks. He is now staying in his bed as well while we watch a movie. The most impressive change is his calm and obedient behavior during walks, heeling perfectly by our side. After his training we went to a very loud parade with a lot of distractions and he was So well behaved. Monica's training has exceeded our expectations, bringing harmony and joy to our daily lives.Monica's convenient home pickup, thorough explanations, and patience with our energetic children were greatly appreciated. She even provided a private training session upon returning Leo to our home. As a bonus, our once-terrified cat now feels safe with Leo's improved behavior.We highly recommend Monica as an exceptional dog trainer. Her dedication and expertise have given us a well-trained and harmonious companion, making a significant positive impact on our family. Thank you so much. ?

Monica and her team did a great job house training our black lab puppy. She would wander around the house eating things and now she stays and listens. Living with a puppy is way more enjoyable than I could imagine because of Fine Canine

We will never run out of good things to say about Monica and her team! We sent blue, our Aussiedoodle puppy for a couple weeks for boarding and training, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Monica is the most knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful training professional. Her techniques and results truly speak for themself. She eased all of our nerves beforehand and sent pictures and video updates while he was away. She is straightforward in what she expects of you and your puppy after training. I wouldn’t send our puppy to anyone else. We highly recommend Monica and the entire fine canine team!

Monica took our new puppy Bowie for 2 weeks and he came back happy, healthy, and very well trained! We can now confidently continue the work knowing we are on the right path to a well adjusted family dog. Monica is also just a nice and cool person to talk to! I can’t recommend her enough!

Monica and her team at The Fine Canine did an amazing job with our miniature poodle, Peaches. When Peaches joined our family, I was certain that her intelligence would make training a piece of cake. However, I didn’t appreciate how her intelligence coupled with a poodle’s innate independence would complicate things… While Peaches is definitely intelligent and very loving, she would often do things on her own terms…. From the moment I connected with Monica, it was clear that she had a deep understanding of the breed and the experience to flex based on our dog’s personality. After 3 weeks at the Fine Canine Boarding school, Peaches came back as the same sweet and energetic dog, but much more obedient. She would sit, stay, come and go to her bed on command. Watching her sit in one spot for several minutes while we have a nice family dinner has been a game changer. I highly recommend The Fine Canine for your training needs.

Monica is truly a dog whisperer! She has the magic touch. Duke left naughty and came back nice. She helped me a ton with our pup. She really wants what's best for the dog, and has a phenomenal understanding of canine behavior and teaching. Would highly recommend any dog to her! She's well worth the money!

We finally found a compassionate and competent trainer! Our dogs are rescue pandemic pups and they had special conditions. Extremely smart, yet prey driven and strong will a bonded pair added additional challenges to the pups who couldn't have enough socialization during the pandemic. We walked and trained them, but always feel like they need more help. We were turned away from Waggles in Wheeling and Dog Styles in VH before. Desperately looking for boarding options, my husband found this place. Reading all these great reviews, I know I couldn't get a spot right away, but when Monica saw me and my two special pups, she accepted them. After two weeks of rigorous training, they came back as confident and calm dogs. Thank you!

Thank you, Fine Canine and Monica for your work with our red lab puppy. She stayed with Monica for three weeks and learned how to sit, stay, and come! We saw a remarkable improvement in her ability to stay in her bed. We can even eat dinner on the couch and she will stay in her bed only a foot away without trying to grab the food! Monica is absolutely phenomenal! We sent our 3 month old Multi-Poo to her for several weeks to be trained. We weren't sure what to except at first, especially leaving our puppy with someone that wasn't us. Monica sent us photo and text updates, along with videos of her progress, that made us feel so comfortable and safe and reassured us that she was in the right hands. After returning her back to us, Monica walked us through our puppy's training step by step, and gave us helpful tips to continue training her on our own at home as she grows. Monica returned our goldendoodle today after completing the 4 week training program and the results were spectacular! He left us as a completely untrained 11 week old puppy, mouthing everything he could get his teeth on. In just four weeks, he knows all his basic commands, several advanced commands, and even a fun party trick….plus, he no longer puts his mouth on anything but his toys, and doesn’t jump up on any of us. Myself, my wife and all our kids were blown away by how much Monica was able to accomplish. She kept us informed throughout each week she had him by sending us updates, pictures and videos which all of us looked forward to and eased the time our puppy was away. She spent close to 3 hours with us today answering all our questions, making sure each of us knew how to issue and reinforce the commands, and making sure we could continue the reinforcement of his behaviors.We spoke to several trainers in the area prior to choosing Monica, who we were referred to by close friends, and she instantly won us over and we’re so glad she did! I wouldn’t hesitate for one second offering our highest recommendation for Monica for your training or boarding needs. In addition to the training we just finished, we will certainly use her for all our boarding needs in the future.

Our lab puppy spent a month with Monica before coming home to us. She doesn't chew or bark inappropriately or nip. She was housebroken and loves her crate. Monica helped get us all of to a great start when we followed through on her training. Thanks Monica

We had Monica train our red lab when she was 3 months old. We were blown away by our puppy upon her return. Monica is an expert trainer and we are so grateful for her work with our dog. Can't say enough good things. Highly recommended.
