We got our next tree from Ambrose. I can not tell you how happy and unhappy we are.Prices are a little high. But it's well worth the product that you're getting. Staff is mostly friendly. My favorite part. If I'm in a bad mood, all I have to do is walk around the store, and I end up happy and smiling.

I've been coming here since I was a child and it's always such a magical experience. There is so much Christmas packed in and we always enjoy looking around. We take our kids now and they pick out an ornament every year.

My family and I went to Ambrose for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Although the store is gorgeous, our experience was the opposite. I saw they had Kurt Adler nutcrackers (which I collect) and started to pick them up to see the detail in the nutcrackers to see which one I wanted to buy. I have many Kurt Adler nutcrackers. There was a boy that worked there who came rushing over and about snatched the nutcracker out of my hand. He asked about 10 times if I wanted to buy it. I told him I was still deciding. He lingered and watched my sister and me, like we were going to break it. It’s only a $100 item, not $1000! Chill! Then, while I was asking my husband which one we should buy, an older guy came over, acting all crazy about me and holding the nutcrackers. I finally asked him if I wasn't supposed to touch them since there wasn’t a sign. He replied that it was fine. Then he asked me five times if I wanted to buy it like the previous boy had. The whole encounter made me so uncomfortable. I ended up putting them back along with the rest of my items. I wasn’t going to purchase anything from them, and I’ll never go back. I shop at high-end stores like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany and have never been treated like this before. I went to Cornerstone in Lake Geneva the next weekend and bought two Kurt Adler nutcrackers from them, and they weren’t lingering over my shoulder while I was holding them.

Maybe not the best place for little ones. We spent a lot of our visit keeping our grandsons hands off the glass ornaments but what a great place for ANYTHING Christmas! We had then make up our front porch planters and door wreaths and they did an Amazing job!

I have always driven by this place and wanted to stop and never have and I finally did, and I'm sure glad I did. It's a magical place that will bring out the kid in you again. Even if you don't buy anything it's fun just to look.

Beautiful store... But the "owner" is a complete jerk. We came her with my son who is 4 we told him not to touch anything because there were several glass items.. My son walked through the store with his hands by his side the whole time. If he didn't have his hands by his side he was holding someone's hand. My son grabbed one Giraffe and (I'm pretty sure the owner) jumped from behind the register and yelled "Don't let him touch that.. that ornament is $20. I don't care if it's $100.. it's the holiday season and we are getting out yearly ornaments. My wife and I had over $100 worth of items in our hands and after that jerk talked to us the way he did we set everything down and walked out. I have been with my wife for 5 years and we hit this store every year... it was a tradition for us but I will never go back. (if this wasn't the owner I am sorry for blaming you.... But that guy SUCKS.)

We have drove past here for years. I’ve always wanted to go in here because it looked so beautiful from the outside. My son loves Christmas so we went in. As soon as we walked in and turned the corner the guy working was watching every move we made. As if I would steal an ornament or my son would “break” something . He must of been following us because literally right when my son picked up an ornament the man was right there and took it out of my sons hand. He told my son not to touch anything and to just look with his eyes because the ornaments were glass and fragile. It was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen happen. My son was looking at the guy like he was crazy. This was not a good first impression…. It’s an ornament, allow your customers to breathe. Why have a kid section, If you’re not kid friendly…

Such an amazing and beautiful Christmas shop! Has been around since 1969 as a Christmas shop and nursery, and just the Christmas shop since 1980. I've this place was here since I was a kid but have never gone in. I'm so glad we went! They even have rooms decorated with different themes! Definitely check out out Ambrose Christmas Store, it'll sure put you in the Christmas spirit!

BEWARE PARENTS!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!This store has a lot of stuff for Christmas and everything is way OVERPRICED. I took my daughter there, so she would love it. All those lights and the sparkle is nice to look at.My daughter is very well behave, I did not let touch anything fragile, so she would not break anything. Then a woman (skinny, short dark hair) walked up to us and told me that she is not allowed to touch anything and she has been touching everything. Everything in this store is fragile. Such a lie. My daughter is very well behaved and wasn't touching everything. First of all, that's impossible! I was going to buy a few overpriced ornaments, but after the encounter with a HORRIBLE MEAN WOMAN WHO WORKS THERE, I put all the ornaments on a shelf and didn't buy it. Such a disrespect towards the people with an accent and with kids. STAY AWAY, spend your money elsewhere where they will appreciate you. I am not the only one who has the same experience in this store.

We really enjoyed shopping here! We found it just driving by. Family owned for decades. Super friendly, smiling & helpful staff. My husband & I enjoyed the many rooms all decorated differently. I would say 98% wheelchair accommodation.

Visiting this store is like going on a hallmark Christmas movie set. It's beautiful inside, and the pricing for the ornaments are fantastic!Becareful when walking in because it is a smaller store packed with ornaments. It is easy to bump into something and accidentally break it.
