The “NicKey” name/brand means Hi-Performance. The Iconic name was was first used in the automotive arena by NicKey Chevrolet of Chicago. The trademark “K” was turned backwards circa 1958. This Chicago based insitution was founded by Mr. NicKey in the 1920s. It was later aquired by the Stephani family which owned and managed the dealership until its closing at the end of 1973. During their tenure and under the gudiance of Al Sielig, VP of fixed operations, NicKey Chevrolet became the largest automobile reatiler in the USA, with both vehicles and parts sales. NicKey Chevrolet was involved with many forms of Automobile racing, starting in the 1950s. During the go fast Muscle car era of the 1960s, NicKey Chevrolet created the “Super Car” genre!
