“I made a donation today and also went shopping at the store. What a surprise to walk in and find a neatly organized store. Everything hung up nothing on the floor to walk around excellent presentation. The store has changed so much. I asked what happened apparently a young lady by the name of Kirstyn Has become a manager there and she has done a remarkable job with organization, pricing and just getting things in order. It was a great shopping trip.. I also met another lady by the name of Angela. She checked us out at the counter, very kind and sincere and welcoming. We will be coming back to shop and continue to donate?”

“I entered The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Rockford, IL in 2019 and graduated in 2020. When I came into the program, I was homeless, hopeless, broken, and spiritually bankrupt. The transformation I experienced here has been nothing short of miraculous.

Today, I am proud to say that I work as a Spiritual Counselor for the Rehabilitation Center, have my own apartment, and have found a loving and supportive home within The Salvation Army. The program provided me with the tools, guidance, and spiritual support I desperately needed to rebuild my life. The compassionate staff and the structured environment helped me regain my sense of purpose and self-worth.

I am currently actively pursuing training for full-time ministry work, and I owe my new life to the incredible work done by The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Rockford. This place not only offers a second chance but also helps you discover the strength and faith you need to thrive. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone in need of a life-changing experience.

Thank you, Salvation Army, for helping me find my path and for being a beacon of hope and love in my life.”

“I cannot say enough great things about this organization. I have to be honest, I used to not like Goodwill. I believed they over priced their clothes, when everything is donated then a beautiful thing happened. My son was given the opportunity to participate in their Pre Apprenticeship program all for free. They helped us with gas cards, educated my son on the Trades profession and they keep track of him with a case worker for a year. His case worker is helping him with a resume other classes to take and helping him find his career path. My son has ASD and this program is really helping my son. Goodwill is a wonderful organization and I will be forever grateful. If you or your child is struggling to get an education or just doesn’t know what they want to do with their life career choices I highly recommend you give them a call and see if they can help. If you or your child ( over the age of 18) doesn’t need any help please consider donating to this wonderful program. I am eternally grateful as I was laid off after 26 years from Chrysler just living paycheck to paycheck waiting for my plant to reopen. This program has been a lifesaver for me and my son.”

“This is a huge place. The items were neatly organized. There was a special antiques area. There are lots of furniture, old exercise equipment, doors, tiles, flooring, old woodworking tools, garden stuff - new grates for 22 inch weber grill for 10 dollars. I bought a trailer hitch ball for my truck for 12 bucks.”

“Shopping at Goodwill is like shopping at a huge garage sale, only it's indoors, there's more variety, and everything is well organized. And some of the stuff is even brand new!”

“Got through a few bins and had to stop! Got a nice little something clothes-wise for the whole family, and there's 7 of us! And the total was shy of $15! Of course it's hit and miss, but today worked out!”

“I'm from Ohio and was in town for the week. I was blown away by this location. It was clean, well organized, properly staffed, large but not too large, had fair pricing, and some great finds in multiple areas of the store. Please don't raise prices to insane levels like other regions. Also, please continue employing the wonderful staff who I had the joy of interacting with during my 3 visits this week.”

“Easy to shop, super well organized, great finds, friendly staff. Came all the way from Boston, decided to stop in and had a blast. Staff member, Nyssa (sorry not sure how to spell), was super friendly, professional and helpful! Give that young lady a raise! ?????. Also... it's the Salvation Army, slow down with the bad reviews, life's too short to be a douche.”
