If I could leave 100 stars, I would. I recently bought an older used Ford Explorer and the power lock on the driver's side was messed up. I've had this same issue with other Ford Explorers I've owned. I knew it was just a broken spring. Every car place I went to tried to take advantage of me and tried to convince me to pay a diagnosis fee of $125-$185....JUST TO LOOK AT IT!! I knew I didn't need the whole thing taken apart and knew that I didn't need diagnosis. I kept explaining this to about 15 different mechanics I stopped at. I was treated like garbage and they were all rude and condescending. I was ready to give up and I posted my issue on local community page on Facebook. I got horrible responses and a couple referrals. One guy said go to CALIFORNIA MUFFLER in Lyons. Talk about meant to be.....Juan and Liz are the nicest people I've ever met!! I was so comfortable right away. Without hesitation, Juan took my car in immediately with no wait. 20 minutes later, my lock was fixed!!!! No fees, diagnosis, just honest and simple fix! It was the spring, like I already knew. Everyone tried to take advantage of me. He charged me peanuts for his time. I'm so lucky to have found them. I will NEVER take my car anywhere else! You know how they say, trust your gut??? You will feel that instantly that they are the right mechanics for you!!! I'm so grateful!! ? ???

California mufflers is the place to have your vehicle taken to when you need service. I highly recommend this place. I originally had my truck at another mechanic place and i felt like they were trying to scam me and had my truck for two days. Then i had to call for updates and they wanted to diagnose it charging 100 dollars an hour to still look into what was wrong with the truck. At this time i had my truck towed to California motors as the other place seemed like scammers. My boy Munchies recommended recommended me to Juan. Great customer service and great work. I Brought in my Jeep cherokee sport 2017 to the shop and it was fixed In a day. The mechanics here know what they are doing and they charge reasonable prices. They are very honest and work fast with quality work. My truck was stalling out and wouldn't turn on at times. Once I brought it to this place they found the issue and fixed it right away. They communicated with me through the whole process and gave me updates. I did not have to call and check to see if it was ready. Once they informed me what needed fixed i gave him the ok and the job was completed. Picked up my truck in a day and is running like new again. Thank you California mufflers for your great service. I will recommend all my friends and family to your business. Happy customer wooooo!!!!

Liars said job would cost $325 even when receipt it says something different then the next few days go by look at my app and tell me why I was charged $348, the job was already over priced to change a resinator and few muffler mounts but where ever these people are from it’s definitely not living up to original verbal agreement or even what my receipt shows smh. I’m upset because originally he said 250 then some how he made me wait for half an hour before saying 325 then I look and it’s actually 350 what happened to honesty and decency in this country. Not going exactly on the price agreed on Is a definite manipulation and business should be avoided

Did my Honda prelude cat back, needed it done before work and they got it done 30 min before I had to leave for work which was perfect, also hooked me up with a $20 discount since I brought my own exhaust system, definitely recommend this place!

Went there to get work done on my muffler. Price was fair and reasonable, and quality of work is great. They made me aware of other work my car needed but we’re not forceful. Liz, the lady who works the office, is the sweetest person. I had to wait about 3 hours for my car, and she was very accommodating and did everything she could to make the wait as seamless as possible. I will definitely be back!Service: Exhaust
