In the store on 2/14.24 to port a number from another carrier. That went fine, however, there is way too much emphasis placed on the upsell, little to no comprehension that "no" means "no." The additional CSR who inserted himself into the discussion with the rep I was working with was very condescending, tone was bordering on disrespectful. I will try to handle all my needs online whenever possible, I would urge other customers to do the same. This was an unpleasant experience overall.

Went in to the Machesney store to upgrade 2 phones. The sale clerk didn't want to help us. First he urged us to wait for Black Friday. When we finally made it clear we wanted to purchase now, he came back with unnecessary upgrades (Unlimited, extra line, insurance)and told us there was not rebate on our phone 11's. Once it was clear we weren't interested, he told us to just go to Best Buy and get the phones!

The staff at this location is quite nice. My complaint is with Verizon. I was charged $30 for customer service. Helping me to transfer things from my old Verizon phone to my new Verizon phone. That used to be a courtesy to the customer and at the end of this contract, I'm out. Every other carrier does it free.

I have had verizon for over a decade. Today (9-6-23) I went in to the machesney park verizon store to see a new phone i was interested in to upgrade my old phone. The female sales associate was way less than friendly and was a (close) talker. I was going to purchase a new $2,000 phone, but she was so rude to me that I may quit verizon completely. If you want verizon, you should pick another store and just stay away from this one. Rude people do not get my money or business. Hey verizon, screen your sales people better because it's costing you money and sales.

Horrible service! an absolutely unhelpful and extremely rude person named Nicholas ruined my whole experience with Verizon. From a long time customer to Verizon management; instead of investing on fancy stores and colorful signs, get your employees properly trained or hire people with social skills (they are the face of the company, not prison guards!). AND when I arrived at the store there was only one employee available (which took 5 mins to say "we will be with shortly") and the rest were somewhere in the back not helping waiting customers!

Monty replaced the failed SIM card in my iPhone 13 Pro and brought it back to life! He knew exactly what to do and was very pleasant to work with. There were 3 employees and I didn’t have to wait long. Kudos!

Horrible service! I do not recommend going here at all. They were rude to my mom and wouldn’t even help activate her phone. She is currently without service and I cannot help her because I am 400 miles away. They should be ashamed of themselves!

Customer service is lacking. Business account with 5 lines and the rep from the store left us hanging. Never received my return boxes for the phones we were upgrading and therefore never received the credit. Bill has changed several times. Hit with hidden fees the rep never informed us about. He was difficult to reach once the sale was made. Verizon customer service used to be good, now it’s gone into the toilet. Go ANYWHERE but Verizon.

Person who waited on me was very abrupt and rude when answering questions I had about the warranty on my screen protector. Your employees may have tech skills, but they are sorely lacking in customer friendliness and communication skills. He knew I was not happy and made a sarcastic “Have a nice day.” when I left. I’d love to hear from the manager.

Cannot believe I am writing a favorable Verizon Store review. But I am.Hate shopping at iPhone stores with a passion. Will not go into the long list of what I find objectionable; it's long and I would rant.Prepared for this visit online. Requested an apptmt. Described the issue. Gave as much info as I could. Showed up early for apptmt to check in. Only one person ahead of me. Minimal wait time. Hardly any bother.Friendly staff inquired about issue, checked things out, described the two options and what they would entail.Decided to try a local repair option -- Ubreak-Ifix -- with whom Verizon apparently has an arrangement. Only two blocks away. They had an apptmt right then. Service covered under warranty. Ok.Whole situation did not involve high pressure sales tactics, excessive wait time, crowds, tons of technology I don't care about. Simple, fast, effective.Went to the recommended repair shop. They fixed the iPhone immediately. Could take it right home. Good as the day I purchased it!Unfathomable. A pleasurable Verizon Store experience with an efficient and effective outcome. All respect, Verizon. Well done.
