The pharmacy doesn't communicate with you when they don't have medication in stock. You don't know where the problem occurs! Did my doctor not call it in? Is it waiting for me at the pharmacy? By the time you find out your already in withdrawal!

I've gone to this Walgreens many times and have never had an issue. The staff has been helpful and I can usually find what I need.

September 2020 by In Search O.
We went to Walgreens on September 8, 2020, to pick up the remainder of a refill that was partially issued on September 2, 2020. We paid the full $10 copay on September 2 so we were under the impression that the rest of the refill would be provided at no charge. Imagine our surprise when the pharmacy assistant stated that the remainder of the refill would cost over $300! We stated, "No, we paid the full copay on September 2" and told her we expected the remainder of the pills at no charge. She called Anthony (Managing Pharmacist) over and he stated that we definitely have to pay over $300 to obtain the remainder of the prescription. I told him "no" and proceeded to hand him the September 2 bottle and the receipt, waiting for the drawer (we were in the drive through) to open. No, he did not want to see the items as he knew what he was doing. He then asked for our telephone number at which point I told him he did not need that information if we were not picking up the remainder of the refill and simply drove away. After returning home, I telephoned that Walgreens to speak to the acting manager. I explained what had happened, gave her the prescription number, and she stated that she would give Lynn the message and she should telephone me the next morning. No such luck so the following morning I telephoned Walgreens corporate customer support and relayed what had happened. I telephoned that afternoon to receive a status (silly me) spoke to a snippy lady (this problem was not our fault--it is Walgreens' fault!). No further contact with them as of this writing. I then telephoned the regional director, Jason Austin, and was transferred to the voicemail of his assistant. Neither were available. (As I learned later, they were involved with a conference call. . .ok, but you cannot have conference calls without customers!) No telephone call from that office and here it is after 10 p.m. on September 11. I telephoned Meijer Pharmacy on September 9 and they took the initiative to order the 60 pills so they would have them to fill our prescription on September 10. We had to purchase the pills somewhere. Lynn, the Machesney Park Walgreens manager, finally telephoned at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9. I, again, explained what had happened. Lynn had been with her district manager touring the store that morning (again, you would not have been able to tour the store if you have no customers!) She stated that she would follow up and call the next day. Well the next day came and NO telephone call from Lynn. Surprise! Fortunately, we had requested a separate prescription from the doctor and had him send it to Meijer. Lynn finally called later that afternoon and I told her I had already started working with Meijer. She apologized for failing me. I told her that putting her district manager and conference calls first, before the customers' care, was a great way to lose those customers. No sense of urgency from ANYONE at Walgreens--never mind that we were on our last day of the medication and we needed it to continue the care. Stay away.

Trying to pick up a prescription on 3 occasions once a month. However when I go to store the script is not available yet because they said my insurance has not approved yet. But the automated phone call tells me my prescription is ready. The pharmacist and the assistant have no idea what is going on. I have excellent insurance and they told me Walgreens never submitted yet. As I still waited. I called my old Walgreens in Chicago and they get it for me every month on time and it's worth paying for FedEx to deliver. My family and I no longer shop here.. NEVER Received a call from them, business as usual I guess....

Awful store. Overpriced, short staffed. Bathroom filthy. Always have to wait in line, get auto checkouts, people. Rewards program sucks.

**WARNING***PLEASE SHARE*** I received this letter a about a week ago, ironically the same day I was to pick up my refill of Losartan. I was reassured the refill was not tainted, but Walgreens was not able to research prior refills. They do not keep track of bottle lot numbers, which indicates the manufacturer batch. Upon doing my own research to determine if my prior refills were tainted, I called Torrent which is the manufacturer. They had me read the number off my current pill . I was completely disturbed when they told me,"your Losartan is the Tainted/Poisoned." So I called Walgreens back to inform them, they were distributing the tainted drug! Walgreens Response: "NO ONE IS AVAILABLE, THEY WILL CALL YOU IN AN HOUR OR SO." So then I called WALGREENS HOT LINE! WALGREENS 2ND RESPONSE: "SOMEONE WILL GET BACK TO YOU IN 5-7 DAYS!!! Yesterday at 3PM CST WALGREENS was still filling the poisonous Losartan!!! #walgreens #walgreenspharmacy #fda #killing people #walgreenskillingpeople #share #corporategreed
